Nestled in the heart of Mar del Plata's bustling city center, Casino del Mar offers a gaming experience with an unbeatable location – directly adjacent to the beach. Visitors frequently highlight its prime position, noting that it's "very close to the beach" and provides "great views at night" due to its immediate proximity.
Casino del Mar is consistently described as a "small casino". For those seeking a vast gaming floor with numerous options, it might feel a bit confined. Its primary focus appears to be on slot machines, with observations that the venue is "mostly filled with slot machines" and tends to attract "mostly old people playing at machines."
If table games are your preference, the selection is limited. While blackjack has been available (with a reported minimum buy-in of ARS 100 from an older review), it's important for card game enthusiasts to know that you "won't find poker" at Casino del Mar.
Despite its excellent location, Casino del Mar has faced some criticism. A significant concern raised by one visitor was a "strong foul odor," which was so off-putting that they "couldn’t stay" and opted for the nearby Casino Central, which they found "much better." This suggests a potential inconsistency in the venue's atmosphere or maintenance.
Furthermore, those planning to spend an extended period might want to note that food services inside the casino have been described as "super expensive."
Casino del Mar is well-suited for casual players looking to "spend some time and try their luck," particularly if slots are your game of choice. Its beachfront setting and convenient location make it an appealing option for a quick visit, especially for enjoying the "great views at night." One reviewer even suggested that the "best time to go is midnight."
However, if you're a serious poker player, prefer a wide range of table games, or are sensitive to environmental factors like strong odors, you might find the Casino Central a couple of blocks away to be a more comprehensive and perhaps more comfortable alternative, as suggested by a past visitor.
Casino del Mar leverages its prime location in Mar del Plata to offer a convenient, if somewhat limited, gaming experience. While ideal for casual slot players and those appreciating a beachside setting, its smaller size, restricted table game variety, and past reports of a foul odor and expensive food might lead some to explore other gaming venues in the city.
It's located in the center of the city very close to the beach. The casino is small and mostly filled with slot machines. If you are just looking to spend some time and try your luck you can visit this place.
The place had a strong foul odor so we couldn’t stay. We went to the casino central a couple blocks away which was much better.
small casino. You wont find poker. You will find mostly old people playing at machines. I played black jack. The minimum buy in was ARS 100. Food is super expensive inside. Best time to go is midnight.
