Stellaris Casino Guide and Review

Located in the vibrant Eagle Beach area of Aruba, Stellaris Casino is often touted as the island's largest gaming establishment. While it offers a comprehensive selection of games, visitor experiences suggest a mix of impressive features and notable areas for improvement.
Atmosphere and Size
- The casino is generally considered by some to be the nicest casino on the island.
- While described as "bigger than some" in Aruba, several patrons note that it still feels "very cramped" and is "not as big as most casinos in the US."
- A significant positive change, highlighted by visitors, is the implementation of a no-smoking policy, greatly enhancing the overall environment.
Gaming Options 🎲
Stellaris Casino provides a variety of gaming opportunities to suit different preferences:
- Slots: A good selection of slot machines with variable denominations is available.
- Video Poker: A dedicated bar area features quarter video poker machines.
- Table Games: Approximately 10-12 gaming tables are on offer, including popular choices like Blackjack (BJ), Let It Ride, 3 Card Poker, and Roulette. Minimum bets observed for Blackjack and 3 Card Poker were around $10.
Table Game Hours & Payouts
Some operational aspects of the table games have drawn comment:
- Card tables typically do not open until dinner time.
- Craps tables have been noted to open late and close early, with some players feeling management complains about insufficient betting.
- One recurring observation among players is the apparent rarity of hand-paid jackpots on slot machines, which some find to be "not a good sign."
Customer Service & Loyalty Program
Experiences regarding customer service, particularly concerning the loyalty program, have been mixed:
- Dealers at the tables are frequently praised as "great dealers."
- However, several reviews highlight significant challenges with redeeming points and comps for food and beverage. Patrons report that staff and hosts often provide "every excuse to not let you use your points," implying a reluctance to honor player rewards. Guests are advised to "track your points and get in writing as well from host about using your comps."
Concerns Regarding Machine Integrity & Staff Response ⚠️
A notable concern raised by multiple users relates to potential malfunctions with betting machines and the casino's response:
- Multiple incidents have been reported where virtual roulette machines or other betting machines allegedly placed bets on their own, resulting in unexpected losses for players. Users describe these machines as "ultra sensitive" or having "glitches."
- When these issues were brought to the attention of casino staff and management, some patrons reported receiving "dismissive attitudes" and being told there was "nothing they could do."
- In some cases, management reportedly refused to review camera footage, even with specific timestamps provided, leading to accusations of "very suspicious activity" and a lack of accountability when equipment malfunctions occur.
Overall Summary
Stellaris Casino presents itself as a significant gaming option in Aruba, praised for its non-smoking environment and a decent selection of games, especially slots. However, potential visitors should be aware of its relatively cramped size compared to US casinos, the late opening hours for some table games, and crucially, the reported difficulties with comp redemption and the concerning issues with machine integrity and the casino's unhelpful response to alleged malfunctions. While some find it to be the "nicest casino on the island," others have found the experience frustrating due to these operational and customer service challenges.
The nicest casino on the island IMHO. It is bigger than some, but still not as big as most casinos in the US. Nice selection of slots with variable denominations. There is also a bar with quarter video poker machines. About 10-12 gaming tables I would say. BJ, let it ride, 3 card poker, roulette. The card tables don’t open until dinner time. I saw $10 minimum on BJ and three card poker. For all of the times that we have been here I have NEVER seen them hand pay a jackpot….not a good sign. MUCH BETTER since they made it no smoking. They do not allow photography but they let me keep one!
Make sure you track your points and get in writing as well from host about using your comps. They have every excuse to not let you use your points for food and beverage, like it’s coming out their paycheck. It’s not worth the gambling. The crap tables opens late and closes early but they complain you don’t bet enough.I’ve see other comments also saying about the machine changing bets. I also feel that happened to me as well.
Apparently biggest in Aruba but still very cramped. Great dealers, many slot machines. Mainly doninated with younger players who do not normally know how to play and they literally want to burn the money. But great fun nonetheless.
I’m frustrated and feel like I need to share this experience. Recently, I was at the casino and had a shocking incident with one of the betting machines. My friend and I were just sitting by it, not touching but we had money in it. Out of nowhere, the machine placed a bet on its own, resulting in us losing money. We immediately brought it to the attention of casino staff, expecting some sort of investigation or, at the very least, a refund for this clear malfunction. Instead, we were met with dismissive attitudes and told there was “nothing they could do.” It was essentially chalked up to bad luck, even though we never initiated the bet! They didn’t brother checking the camera. It makes me wonder – how are Stellaris casinos allowed to operate machines without proper safeguards for players? Where’s the accountability when machines malfunction? Casinos are quick to take your money, but if their equipment screws up, you’re just left out to dry
My buddies and I were at the virtual roulette machine, and both had issues with the machine. The machine is ultra sensitive and places bet for you while you turn away to talk to someone. I would not recommend the machines at this place. We lost hundreds on the machine glitch and managers refuse to look at the cameras even though they know the time stamp. Very suspicious activity happening here and not accommodating at all.
