I want to share my own comments to Lesley forde who commented that Cheryl was rude on Mother’s Day. Cheryl is the best. I came in with my mom on mother’s day which also happened to be my birthday. She set up our table so nicely with balloons and a dabber. She spoiled me when she did not have to. She went out of her way to make my day special. I was actually there and heard her talking to you (Lesley). Cheryl was in a composed manner. She was not rude she was direct and firm. If you didn’t know how to play then it is up to you to ask how to play and any one of the staff members would be happy to sit with you and help. Cheryl is amazing at what she does, she is everywhere and always making sure things are running smoothly. Thank you Cheryl for everything you do. And thank you for making my birthday special.
I really enjoy bingo one of my favourite places to play is Bingo Downsview. The staff are so friendly. I always have an amazing time when I come and play Bingo. One of the reasons why my experience is so much fun is because of Cheryl the assistant manager she always makes me feel comfortable. She grabs my coffee when I need it and treats everyone with the respect. I'll be definitely coming to this Bingo place because of the staff but hats off to Cheryl who make it the best experience ever!!
My goodness. We came to this location this past Sunday for Mother’s Day it was myself my mom, my sister and my niece. It was our FIRST TIME there & FIRST TIME playing that type of bingo. I went up to the cashier to get information on how to start to play bingo for the 10 AM session. I went up to the cashier. I think her name was Jasmine as I remember Her name on the receipt. I told her that it was our first time here playing bingo. She proceeded to explain how to purchase the bingo cards by paper and electronic. That was all was explained to me,Myself I bought the electronic bingo and for my mom I bought the bingo paper booklet. The paper booklet contain about 10 sheets, We were told we were able to get a free dabber and a free drink at the snack bar . we were only explaining about purchasing the bingo cards And how to enter my information on the computer for the electronic bingo. Nothing else. As we proceeded to wait for the 10 AM session to start, we realize the booklet, it has so much our pages to keep track of the bingo. I proceeded to rip apart the pages to play the bingo once it started and lay them out on the table in front of us. After five minutes into the game, this employee came up behind us and startle me yelling “What are we doing? This is not how we do it.” She proceeded to pick up the pages and said out loud “oh, we’re not allowed to share ,this is not what we’re doing.” This employee was wearing a gray uniform shirt with her shirt untucked and her hair up in a messy ponytail. I’m gonna assume she was a supervisor on the floor in that session. I believe her name was Sheryl. She explained that the bingo is played by colour by each pages. And placed the pages in front of my mother and walked away.To be honest, I was embarrassed by her approach. What she explained to us, was NOT explained by the cashier. this “supervisor” her approach should’ve been more subtle and friendly being ONCE AGAIN FIRST TIME COMER!!Mind you, my sister arrived 10 minutes after me and she was also explained the purchase rules of the bingo, not how to play bingo by a different cashier.Frankly, I am disappointed that this “supervisor” ruined the experience for us. I was looking to speak to customer service for the manager, but it was already busy for the 1 PM session hence why I am leaving this review now.More likely, I will not return to this location. Do better for follow newcomers!
I just want to share my response to the Lesley forde who commented that Cheryl was rude on Mother’s Day…I was there!!! I feel a need to defend this attack on Cheryl… she is like a butterfly, flitting about, every where, doing everything (she does her job and more) and that’s how she noticed what was happening at your table!!! If she yelled, no one heard!!! She acted in the most professional manner as she always does!!! She is the most helpful, caring, compassionate person and just the day before she brought ice to my husband who had a hurt foot - she didn’t need to!! She just did!!!There are countless compliments I can give to Cheryl for a job well done…. If you were embarrassed, you own it, no one else!!! You’ve attacked her personality, her appearance, her demeanor which is unfair cuz she was just doing her job… professionally! As she does everyday! She is the best and does not deserve your unfair criticism for your own sensitivity to a tone that was not harsh, but clear and direct as to the rules of her job
Since renovating this delta bingo has changed drastically. Employees are helpful and the place is clean and easy to figure out where everything is.Recommend 👍🏼
