The River Rock Casino Resort, nestled in Richmond (part of Metro Vancouver), Canada, offers a mixed bag of experiences, often leaning towards a vibrant and enjoyable stay for many, particularly adults. With its primary focus as a casino, it delivers on that front while also providing a hotel component that receives both praise and critique.
River Rock Casino Resort appears to be an excellent choice for adults and those primarily interested in the casino experience, comfortable rooms, and convenient access to local attractions like the night market and public transport. Its casino facilities are well-regarded, and some guests enjoy truly amazing stays with top-tier service and beautiful views. However, families with young children should exercise caution regarding the pool area due to reported safety and supervision issues. Prospective guests should also be prepared for potential inconsistencies in general staff attentiveness and service, as well as minor issues like pillow comfort and valet parking variations. The Gordon Ramsay restaurant is a definite highlight for dining, while other in-house dining options might be less impressive.
Nice hotel, but service isn’t top tier. Pool isn’t safe, and not heavily regulated and relies on guests to supervise. With staff only coming in once in a while to restock towels. Guest aren’t reliant, as the pool grew hectic, as children dove into the “no dive” pool and hot tub. Kids were sprinting, and the slide was forming trains. But when the pool was about to close, the staff refused to bring any towels for the remaining people in the pool. So we all had to walk up to our rooms soaking wet and cold.Other than that, the experience was alright. Indoor stores are open at good, and late hours. Casino has a lot of options for machines, and me and my family had a ton of luck here.Great if you’re an adult, but felt a bit unsafe with my youngest siblings with the other unsupervised children with a lack of concern from staff members. We come here once a year to attend tournaments, and it seems the rest of my family loves it. Especially the night market next to it, with the reliable buses and sky train.
Our stay at the casino resort was nothing short of amazing! The rooms were spacious and super comfortable, with beautiful views.Staff throughout the resort were friendly, helpful, and made us feel like VIPs. Whether you’re here to play, relax by the pool, or enjoy the nightlife, this resort has it all. We can’t wait to come back. My daughter loves their pool so much.
Had a wonderful time and experience! Hubby and I went for our anniversary and were treated so well! The hotel is beautiful. The rooms were clean. The casino was fun. And the location was great. Awesome view of the Harbour. Even got a free room upgrade!Called front desk to ask for a fan. Had one delivered to the room within 15 minutes. Can't wait to go back!
Stayed at the hotel and the staff do not care about anything or are not able to help in anyway. Lot of extra charges were on the credit card as well. I never complain, but this hotel needs to be replaced with better staff. The Gordon Ramsay restaurant was amazing though on the good note.
The rooms are really nice, but the pillows aren't. Bring your own pillows. The valet parking was good on arrival, then the morning of the chexkout, they just parked our vehicle out in the parking lot rather than bringing it to the main entrance. The food at the Chairmans Lounge was nothing special. I ordered an entree, but they brought out something different. The service was so so. The casino itself is nice and clean, with a lot of card tables. The slots are decent.
