Enjoy Coquimbo Guide and Review

Located in the scenic city of Coquimbo, Chile, Enjoy Coquimbo presents itself as a sprawling complex offering a casino, hotel, spa, and various dining and entertainment options right on the beachfront. While it boasts an impressive array of facilities designed to cater to a wide range of visitors, recent guest experiences highlight a notable disparity between its grand aspirations and the actual service delivery and upkeep.
The Casino & Entertainment Offerings π²π€
As a primary casino destination, Enjoy Coquimbo aims to impress with its extensive gaming floor. Visitors can expect:
- Hundreds of Slot Machines: Over 800 slot machines are available for those looking to try their luck.
- Table Games: Around 30 gaming tables provide classic casino experiences.
- Bingo Hall: A dedicated bingo hall with 222 seats is also on-site.
Beyond gambling, the complex features two bars and a nightclub to keep the party atmosphere alive. It also allocates spaces for art, culture, and shows, alongside a significant convention center, aiming to be a central point for both tourism and business. However, some guests have noted that during musical events, the establishment can become overcrowded and feel understaffed, leading to long lines for drinks and difficult movement. A concerning aspect is the continued allowance of indoor smoking within the venue. There is also an entrance charge to consider.
Accommodation & Wellness Facilities πβ¨
The 5-star hotel at Enjoy Coquimbo comprises 111 rooms spread across 14 floors, many offering beautiful ocean views. Guests have praised the comfortable beds and the delicious breakfast served.
The dedicated wellness spa is described as expansive, covering 1500 square meters and featuring:
- Outdoor and heated pools.
- Massage rooms.
- Yoga and spinning facilities.
- Saunas and steam rooms.
- A Jacuzzi.
Despite these impressive amenities, there have been issues reported regarding the pool and spa facilities. One guest experienced the pool being inaccessible due to a Saturday pool party, and the jacuzzi was not hot, reportedly due to the same event.
Dining Experiences π½οΈβ
Enjoy Coquimbo provides a variety of dining options, including two top-notch restaurants, a coffee shop, and a bingo buffet. The restaurant experience has generally received positive feedback, with one reviewer specifically calling it "amazing."
Location & Surroundings ποΈπ
Strategically situated on the first line of the beach, Enjoy Coquimbo offers breathtaking views of the ocean and stunning sunsets. Its prime location also means there are plenty of great restaurants and shops within walking distance, adding convenience for guests wishing to explore the local area.
Points for Improvement β οΈ
While the complex offers a broad range of facilities, several critical areas consistently emerge as needing significant attention:
Room Condition & Cleanliness π§Ή
Multiple guests have expressed strong dissatisfaction with the hotel room conditions. Reports include "extremely unclean" rooms, black stains on carpets, dirty furniture requiring guests to clean surfaces themselves, and visible hairs on the floor and in the shower. Rooms are also described as dated with deep set showers. A major concern highlighted is balconies with windows that cannot close properly, leading to constant noise and wind intrusion from the sea front. For a price point of around $200 per night, this lack of cleanliness and upkeep is a significant drawback.
Noise Disturbances π
Beyond the faulty balcony windows, noise from an adjacent club playing music until 2 AM on weekends has made it "very hard to sleep" for some guests.
Security & Staff Service ππ₯
A serious security lapse was reported where luggage, including valuables like laptops and passports, was left unsecured in the lobby for 10 hours despite explicit assurances from the front desk that it would be secured. While some staff, like the bellman, were courteous, the front desk staff have been described as "not very friendly."
Overall Summary π
Enjoy Coquimbo offers a comprehensive entertainment and leisure experience in a beautiful beachfront setting. Its vast casino, diverse dining options, and extensive spa facilities are definite highlights, attracting both locals and tourists looking for a vibrant getaway. However, the recurring issues with room cleanliness, dated accommodation, noise disturbances, and concerns regarding security procedures and front desk service detract significantly from the overall guest experience. While the complex has the potential to be a true "gem," addressing these fundamental operational and maintenance issues would greatly enhance its reputation and value for money, especially given its premium pricing. For those prioritizing beachfront access and casino entertainment above all else, it might suffice, but others seeking a high standard of hotel comfort and service may find themselves disappointed.
The room was extremely unclean. Floor carpet was full of black stains. Furniture was dirty and I had to clean all surfaces before putting my stuff on it. There was some hairs on the floor and in the shower. The window from balcony could not close properly so I had all noise and wind from the sea front. Overall, I was disgusted with the room condition. It could be a nice holiday hotel if you don't mind about cleanliness, but for 200$ a night that I paid (february 23rd 2025) I would never recommend this hotel unless someone wants to be in first line of beach and have a Casino. Otherwise, there is no apparent reason to go there. Staff was nice.
Beds were very comfortable, breakfast was delicious, and the view from our room was beautiful. Lots of great restaurants and shops within walking distance. There was a pool party on Saturday so we couldn't use the pool at all that day. The jacuzzi was not hot and they told me it was because of the party. The club across the street played music on Friday and Saturday till 2am making it very hard to sleep. We left at 6am on the day we checked out to do a tour so we asked the front desk to keep our luggage. We had it on 2 luggage carts with all of our valuables including laptops and passports. We asked them if they would secure them and they said yes, but the luggage carts were still in the lobby when we came back 10 hours later.

The rooms are dated, stained carpets and deep set showers. The front desk staff are not very friendly. The restaurant was amazing and the bellman were courteous.
Beware! There is a charge to get in. Overcrowded. Long lines to get drinks. Understaffed and musical events throws a large crowd making it impossible to walk through. Establishment is too small for this events. Still allows indoor smoking.
