Of the three casinos I visited in BQ this is the worst. I am teaching my Colombian wife blackjack, and on our third hand I told her "you should surrender" and she told the two dealers (in Spanish) "I would like to surrender." She was playing anchor position, and they told her she had to wait for her turn. When it got to her turn, knowing she wanted to surrender and before she did any hand signal, the dealer played out the dealer hand and my wife lost. I thought the surrender would be settled at the time of the other pay/take actions, but they then took her money. "Why didn't you let her surrender!?" we asked. "Because she didn't do any hand signal." was the reply. "But if she didn't do a hand signal, why did you proceed to play out the dealer's hand!!??" There were two dealers at the table and between the two of them they refused to acknowledge any problem with their behavior.Imagine being rude and incompetent toward affluent players on their third hand in your establishment. We played just these hands and got a small bottle of water for a $5,000 tip (we would have tipped the dealers too if we had played for more than 10 minutes).Additionally, when I tried to increase my bet, they said both of our bets had to be increased equally because we were playing with a shared bankroll (although we had separate chip stacks). Make it make sense! Observing crazy local behaviour is one reason I visit properties like this, and it's good for my wife to experience both good casinos (Rio) and bad ones (this one).
