Olive Tree Casino Guide and Review

The Olive Tree Casino, located in North Nicosia (Lefkoşa), Cyprus, presents itself as a destination offering both accommodation and gaming entertainment. Reviews for this establishment reveal a mixed bag of experiences, often touching upon its dual identity as a hotel and a casino.
Positive Aspects & Highlights ✨
Many visitors have lauded the Olive Tree for providing a "very nice hotel and casino" experience. The general consensus points towards "first class services", with some guests reporting a "great fun evening", suggesting the casino aspect delivers on entertainment. For those seeking a combined resort and gaming experience, the Olive Tree appears to offer good value for money, being described as "good for the price."
Important Considerations Before Your Visit ⚠️
While positive, some aspects warrant attention:
- Casino Presence Debate: One review notably claims, "Olive tree hotel has no casino inside, this is a wrong check in name and should be removed." However, this is directly contradicted by multiple other reviews explicitly mentioning "casino" and positive gaming experiences. Potential visitors should verify the current status if the casino is their primary interest, though the weight of evidence largely suggests its presence and functionality.
- Family vs. Couples Atmosphere: During summer months, the venue can become "full of kids", leading to a perception that it is "not a place for couples" seeking a quieter, adult-oriented environment. The pool area, described as "not that big for the amount of people", might also contribute to overcrowding during peak seasons.
- Location & Transportation: The Olive Tree Casino is noted for being "very far from the center" of Nicosia. While transportation is sometimes available, it can be limited in hours, forcing guests to rely on taxis for return journeys, which can be "expensive like 50 tl" (Turkish Lira at the time of the review). This distance could be a significant factor for those wishing to explore the city.
Overall Verdict & Recommendation ⚖️
The Olive Tree Casino appears to be a decent option for travelers looking for an integrated hotel and casino experience, especially if they are mindful of its family-friendly atmosphere during peak summer. Those seeking a lively gaming night and appreciating good service will likely find it enjoyable. However, potential guests should consider its somewhat remote location and the associated transportation costs if city exploration is a priority.
Despite a singular contradictory review regarding the casino's existence, the majority of feedback indicates that the Olive Tree indeed offers a gaming facility alongside its hotel amenities. It seems to cater well to those who prioritize value and a combined resort experience, rather than a secluded, couples-only retreat or easy access to the city center.
The place is good for the price but in summer is full of kids. No a place for couples I guess. Also is very far from the center even they have transportation they dont have I many hours of the day so u have to return by taxi most of the time that is very expensive like 50 tl. Also the pool is not that big for the amount of people.
