The staff was very unhelpful and unfriendly.The place smelled like an ashtray, the breakfast was very poor. Bad coffee no eggs or fruits, juice from concentrate, no yogurt.The rooms where clean and well equipped.I was looking for a place to stay the night. If you want to gamble perhaps this is for you, but no if you look for a place to rest
It's all just "casino atmosphere". Check-in was strange, since the receptionist was not able to accept credit cards as the "manager was not present" (her words). So not only had I to pay the stay in advance, but even in cash - which I had fortunately just enough of with me.The restaurant offers good food, but ridiculously overpriced in my eyes. The bill was wrong (charged two main courses instead of one).Room had no aircondition (which is a very poor standard for a 4-star-hotel). Leaving a window open (with hot summer temperatures outside) was not an option due to the noise of power units from the outside and hotel/restaurant staff who would take their breaks right below my window. Also, kitchen odours and cigarette smoke got in permanently.The breakfast was ridiculous. It's stated from 6 a.m., but staff finally told me they would rather "start around 8 a.m.", which should still be considered an "approximate value". Shortly before 8 a.m. there was nothing to find except for a poor selection of bakery products, sausage and cheese which I'd consider a youth hostel-standard.Sorry, in my eyes this is far from anything that could be rated a 4-star-accomodation. I've had lots of B&B which were a lot more inviting and worth their money. "Imperial Casino & Hotel" was a disappointment, they are rather some casual casino with a sleepover sector as a sideline, as it seemed.
I was surprised at how this hotel works, we had free meals, drinks (wine, soft drinks) could use the casino with a blue card, clean rooms...beautiful hotel
The hotel ist very good. The people are very friendly. Had much fun there with friends.
