I and my partner are about to complete a 3 night stay. We have had a wonderful time here at the Platino. The staff are friendly, professional and courteous, the hotel is very clean and well maintained, facilities are more than adequate, breakfast was more than enough keep us going. I would recommend this hotel to anybody and will have no hesitation in staying here in the future.
I needed a place to sleep for one night and this hotel had I room available which was a matrimonial suit (honeymoon suite) for 6,700 pesos ($115 dollars). The room is very small to be called a matrimonial suit and the bathroom had space for one person. The shower was a cheap plastic enclosure. The shower knob was loose and it took me some time to get it open. I had to shower in cold water. I definitely don't recommend this hotel. It's not a 3 star but a 1 star motel.
My usual place wasn't available on short notice. However, this place was a very pleasant surprise for the price I paid, which included breakfast. By the way, the breakfast included was fantastic. It is a full restaurant menu with no limitations.My room was very comfortable and large. The location was very convenient, and it has a casino.Had an issue with my room when I checked in. However, the front desk receptionist, Mabel, took care of it quickly. Also, Mabel was very courtesy and very helpful with all my concerns. She even "squeezed" me to my room earlier than the normal check-in times.Finally, the picture is the early construction of a brand new open-air restaurant that would definitely make it the place to hang out.
My first time at this hotel was over 10 years ago and I've returned throughout the years when I have come to visit. My biggest complaint is that there have been no renovations to the property in all those years, and they charge way too much for their basic rooms (called sencilla), which are extremely small. I have only returned to this hotel because of their location being close to many things, the staff are nice and my habit of wanting to go someplace familiar. However, I found an Airbnb that gives me an entire apt, at a cheaper rate than what this hotel charges for a basic room. I would only recommend booking this hotel if you can't find other deals.
