Colonial Casino, situated in the historic Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, presents itself as a gaming destination. User feedback reveals a mix of experiences, highlighting both commendable aspects and notable concerns for potential visitors.
Several patrons have lauded the casino for its service and atmosphere:
Despite the positive remarks, some reviews raise significant questions that future visitors should consider:
Colonial Casino appears to excel in its service and staff quality, providing a comfortable setting within a historically rich part of Santo Domingo. However, the strict no-filming policy and observations of low patronage and limited wins raise questions about the overall vibrancy and transparency of the gaming experience. Potential visitors should weigh the reported excellent service against the concerns regarding the atmosphere and restrictive policies.
It is recommended to visit with an open mind, particularly if you value good service and a relaxed atmosphere, but be aware of the photography restrictions and the potentially quiet gaming environment.
Excellent service! It has a highly qualified staff! Recommended! If you're coming to the Dominican Republic from anywhere in the world, you have to visit this casino in the Colonial Zone, Plaza Nova.
The staff is friendly, but they didn't let us film or take photos of myself or my mom due to company policy. They said it's because the company doesn't want them to upload it to the networks, which is ridiculous: if I, who have quite a few followers, upload it to the networks, I'm advertising it for a place that needs it a lot and that in fact should pay influencers to do it (it was empty). This is what all casinos do, from Las Vegas to the smallest ones. We saw almost no one play and no one win anything, which makes me think that perhaps the business of the place is different and that is why they fear that people will film and leave evidence of something...
