Despite the many positive attributes, several guests pointed out areas where the hotel could enhance its service and facilities:
The Sonesta Hotel Tower & Casino Cairo offers a mixed experience. Its strengths lie in its welcoming environment, diligent cleanliness, comfortable rooms, and convenient location near the airport. The availability of a casino adds a specific entertainment option, though direct feedback on it is absent from the provided reviews. While concerns regarding WiFi reliability, air conditioning, and reception wait times are present, many guests still found their stay to be decent or even excellent, with some expressing a willingness to return if key improvements are made, particularly concerning internet access. For travelers seeking a well-located hotel with clean and comfortable accommodations in Cairo, and access to casino facilities, the Sonesta remains a strong consideration, provided they are aware of the potential for the aforementioned issues.
I stayed at Sonesta in Cairo and overall had a decent experience. The hotel has a welcoming atmosphere, helpful staff, and is located relatively close to the airport, which is convenient. There’s also a security guard at the entrance, which added a sense of safety. A big plus is that there are several good restaurants within a 10-minute walk. However, a few things could be improved. I had requested a queen bed, but was told none were available at check-in and was instead offered two twin beds pushed together — not ideal for comfort. The bathroom toilet had an issue where the water kept running and needed to be double flushed. Also, the WiFi was quite slow and unreliable, which made it difficult to stay connected. That said, I would consider booking again if the WiFi is improved.
Nice hotel. Very flashy with mirrors with frames with inlaid mother of pearl. Big room. Very clean. Separate shower and bath which I llike. Staff relatively friendly. Room service food reasonably priced. Comfortable pillows and bed. No necessary but there were 3 phones in the room. They put on a good breakfast.
The best hotel I've been to in Egypt. The food is very good and the rooms are spotlessly clean. The only downside is that there are long queues at the reception. I think they need to increase the number of staff. But that doesn't stop me from giving it five stars.
We came as a very big group through our agency with meals included.Very good location and service, but the rooms had no breathable air in it.The A/C smelled fowl and did not cool properly. We literally felt like getting sick from it when we switched it on. Thus we had to stay without a/c and no windows could be opened. The food for us was swiss buffet and it was very underwhelming. Not much variety compared to our other hotels.
Used the cafe area to do some work. Coffee and pastries were excellent. Service was good. They let me use the internet though i wasn't staying at the hotel. Very comfortable.
