Having made a mistake with our booking at another hotel we urgently needed pet friendly accommodation on a long drive from Spain to the UK.L'Hotel to the rescue. We nabbed their last 2 rooms and spent a very restful night with an amazing value breakfast the next morning which set us up perfectly for the next stage of our drive.Big shout out to the excellent hotel staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. This will become a regular stop on our trips in future.

St Paul Les Dax doesn't have a town centre really (unlike Dax itself) and seems not to have any hotels that aren't primarily spa places. So this very basic hotel is a low priced and totally adequate solution. It's scrupulously clean and well managed, though on the downside the rooms are small and rather in need of updating. But the shower's hot, the sheets crisp and white, and so long as you don't plan on doing much other than sleeping and freshening up its fine
Made a last minute booking and arrived at 9pm. The reception guy was amazing had me all sorted in minutes and had a couple of recommendations for dinner at 2local places walking distance.The breakfast and lady on reception were spot on as well.For a small hotel there staffing standards were 5 star hotel standard.
