Casino JOA d'Etretat, located in the picturesque Trouville-sur-Mer, serves primarily as a casino, offering a range of gaming options. However, recent user feedback predominantly highlights experiences related to its dining and beverage services rather than the gaming floor itself. While the establishment boasts a beautiful view and some positive aspects, a significant number of reviews point to considerable concerns, particularly regarding the culinary offerings, coffee quality, and service professionalism.
Despite the prevailing negative sentiment in recent reviews, some patrons have found redeeming qualities. The casino benefits from its prime location, offering a beautiful view that can enhance the overall ambiance. For beer enthusiasts, the availability of specific quality beers, such as the Affligem on tap, has been noted as a definite plus.
An older review, dating back six years, also highlighted the restaurant for its "Best quality/price" at the time, praising surprisingly good desserts like Tiramisu and Creme Brulee. However, it's important to note that more recent feedback presents a contrasting picture regarding food quality.
Recent reviews consistently describe the food quality at Casino JOA d'Etretat as a significant drawback. Many visitors have expressed extreme dissatisfaction, pointing to issues ranging from poor preparation to unacceptable taste and temperature.
These recent experiences starkly contrast with the older positive review of the restaurant, suggesting a potential decline in food standards or inconsistencies in quality over time.
The quality of coffee, particularly cappuccino, is another area that has drawn strong criticism from multiple customers. Descriptions consistently highlight a lack of standard preparation and poor taste.
The casino's service has also been a frequent point of contention, with multiple reports of unprofessional and rude staff behavior.
Given the widespread complaints about food and beverage quality, many patrons have felt that the prices charged are not justified. The "very high price" for items like subpar coffee exemplifies this concern, suggesting a poor value proposition for certain offerings.
Casino JOA d'Etretat appears to be a place with significant inconsistencies, especially concerning its food and beverage services. While it may offer a pleasant ambiance with its beautiful views and provide a decent selection of beer, visitors planning to dine or enjoy coffee should manage their expectations carefully. The numerous recent negative reviews regarding food quality, particularly pizza and other dishes, and the consistently poor feedback on coffee and service professionalism, are significant red flags. For those solely interested in the casino's primary gaming functions, or perhaps a quick beer with a view, the experience might be acceptable. However, for a quality culinary or coffee experience, current reviews suggest looking elsewhere in Trouville-sur-Mer.
All three pizzas ordered were burnt and when asked for the fully burnt pizza at least for replacement, they said that's how pizza is cooked so not their problem, we can have it or leave it!! First server agreed to replace and asked to pay but manager came and said it's his server mistake, they can't replace!! Eat it or leave it!
The food was very bad, we had a a margarita it wasnβt fresh and was very hard difficult to chew, also the cappuccino it was without milk it was the worst coffee we had ever had, when we complained about the coffee they said they make like this
Very disappointing experience. The staff was extremely unprofessional β we were charged for three coffees when we only ordered two, and the attitude when we politely pointed it out was shockingly rude. Itβs rare to see such an unfriendly and disrespectful attitude toward international tourists, especially in a popular tourist area.
Best quality/price restaurant around. No local fishes. We have tool Salmon and meats.Tiramisu and creme brulee for desert which was surprisingly good!Wines was ok too.Service was ok and price a bit expensive.
Awful capucino....not even reall coffee but very high price. Beautifull view but thats not justification for not beimg able to make basic coffee with milk. To top it off there is no service, so you go an order at the bar. The affligem on tap is a great beer but dont come here for coffee.
