Nestled in the picturesque coastal town of Dinard, close to Saint-Malo, Casino Barrière Dinard presents itself primarily as a gaming establishment with additional amenities like a bar and restaurant. Reviews from visitors offer a contrasting picture, highlighting its prime location and views while raising significant concerns about service quality.
Many visitors appreciate the casino's unique setting. It's often described as being "not too big, not too small," striking a good balance that prevents it from feeling overcrowded. A standout feature universally praised is the "beautiful view of the sea." Unlike many casinos that are hermetically sealed, guests here can enjoy glimpses of the outside world, adding a refreshing dimension to their experience. One reviewer even called it "Perfect."
Despite its charming location, the casino faces notable criticism regarding its service and operational hours, particularly concerning the bar and restaurant.
Several patrons have reported negative experiences with staff, describing them as "very rude at the entrance" and highlighting a generally "poor" quality of service. Comments such as "Looks like clients are not welcome" indicate a significant area where the casino could improve its customer interaction to ensure a more welcoming atmosphere.
The operational hours of the bar and restaurant have also been a point of contention. The restaurant is noted for closing "early from French standards," which might surprise some visitors expecting later dining options. Furthermore, the bar has been observed to close unexpectedly, even for a bartender's dinner break, leading to situations where there was "no one to offer drinks," causing frustration and prompting guests to seek services elsewhere. One reviewer mentioned a "drop in the service on this place that used to be good," suggesting a decline in recent years.
Casino Barrière Dinard offers a distinctive casino experience, particularly due to its beautiful coastal location and manageable size. However, potential visitors should be aware of the recurring complaints regarding inconsistent service quality and the potentially early closing times of its food and beverage outlets. While the panoramic sea views provide a unique backdrop to a gaming evening, the overall visitor experience appears to be heavily influenced by the level of attentiveness and hospitality received from the staff.
Perfect. Not too big, not too small. Not overcrowded. Beautiful view of the sea. Not often you see the outside world from within a casino. But here you do. Beware that the restaurant closes early from French standards.
Nice view but very rude at the entrance and bar closed at 8pm because the bartender was on a break for diner for 30 minutes and no one to offer drinks ! Such a drop in the service on this place that used to be good , so we went to another place nearby !
Terrible. Quality of service extremely poor. I recommend to stay away from this place. Looks like clients are not welcome
Not the best one for sure! The bar is set on a beautiful location to have a drink and seeing yourself lose money in the sea.
