The Samurai Lounge Bar, situated in the vibrant city of Toulouse, France, primarily operates as a lounge bar within a casino environment. While historical reviews painted a picture of an inviting and trendy establishment, recent customer feedback suggests a significant shift in the overall experience, particularly regarding service and the quality of its culinary offerings.
In its earlier years, The Samurai Lounge Bar garnered praise for its pleasant surroundings. Patrons described it as a "nice place" with "warm colors" and a "cool mood", also labeling it a "trendy venue". The outdoor seating, noted as being "nice" and "well covered with the sun," offered an appealing setting, especially during events.
While the venue offers Japanese plates, recent culinary experiences have drawn sharp criticism. A particularly concerning review highlighted the charcuterie board, which was found to be severely lacking. Despite claims of using products from "Maison Garcia," the ham was described as having "absolutely no taste," with the chorizo and sausage being equally disappointing. The portion size for €14.50 was deemed meager—consisting of merely "6 slices of chorizo and sausage where you can see through it, 3 slices of ham and a 25g of butter"—and its quality likened to that of an "excellent hard discounter." This stark contrast to expectations, especially when the restaurant on the floor above is highly rated, has led to significant customer dissatisfaction.
This aspect has emerged as the most critical point of contention in recent customer feedback. Multiple contemporary reviews lament a "deplorable" reception at the entrance and arbitrary, seemingly unfair, refusal of entry by security personnel.
These incidents suggest a highly inconsistent and unwelcoming approach from the security team, leading former regulars to express strong intentions to boycott the establishment and advise others against visiting.
Once a favored spot for its ambiance, The Samurai Lounge Bar appears to be struggling with significant issues in customer service and food quality. The stark contrast between past positive experiences and recent negative encounters, particularly concerning the unwelcoming entry policies and disappointing food, warrants caution for potential visitors. One disgruntled reviewer explicitly recommended the "casino bar" as a superior alternative, implying a potentially better experience elsewhere within the complex or vicinity. It is evident that the management and "bouncers" of The Samurai Lounge Bar need to critically "review their strategy" to regain the trust and satisfaction of their clientele.
Last night Chimene Badi concert so obviously a lot of people and that’s the fallback solution. We sit outside, it’s nice, well covered with the sun. We order a cache of charcuterie, cheese and Japanese plates. It might be nice, but the charcuterie plate is not at all. We tell you that the latter is made up of products from Maison Garcia, it’s a joke. Ham absolutely no taste, the same goes for the chorizo and sausage meh meh luckily there were two pickles to give flavor... 6 slices of chorizo and sausage where you can see through it, 3 slices of ham and a 25g of butter for €14.50 it stings. If everything was excellent why not, but it was worthy of an excellent hard discounter. When you know that on the floor above the restaurant is great it gives you regrets. In short, we will not return to it and we strongly advise against it.
I was a regular at this place for almost 10 years.I like to relax there after eating at Le Fouquet's restaurant.I went there last Saturday evening as usual with 2 friends (all 3 of us are married and in our forties), and we were refused entry on the pretext that we were not accompanied (even though the bar was empty).I try to explain that due to our situation, we cannot be “accompanied” in vain. After that, I see 5 guys walk in like nothing happened. For my part, I'm going to boycott this place, I used to introduce it to a lot of my acquaintances (work, etc...) and that's it!In short, I strongly advise against it.You need to review your strategy gentlemen “bouncers”
Nice place for a drink.Unfortunately, the reception is deplorable at the entrance. The security guard looks down on us.We are made to wait 15 minutes because we are told that there is no more room even though the bar is empty. On the other hand, they let in two scum “supposedly friends of the boss”I find this shameful. If you want to have a good evening, I recommend the casino bar.
