Vulkan Spielhalle, located on the lively Reeperbahn in Hamburg's St. Pauli district, presents a rather mixed bag of experiences according to recent customer feedback. While some older reviews suggest it was once considered a "great" or "top" casino, more contemporary reports paint a concerning picture, particularly regarding staff conduct and hygiene.
For those seeking a casino experience, Vulkan Spielhalle offers slot machines and other gaming options. Older reviews, some dating back several years, briefly lauded it as "One of the greatest Casino" or simply "Top!" and "Super." However, a recent regular customer reported a consistently negative gaming experience, stating they "never won anything there, never," despite frequent visits and significant spending. This sentiment suggests that the thrill of potential winnings might be elusive for many.
This is where Vulkan Spielhalle faces its most severe criticism. A deeply disturbing account from a visitor describes an "extremely unpleasant experience" marked by "rudeness and racism from the shopkeeper." The review details an incident where the visitor was aggressively told to "get out of the store," followed by an attempt to push them out, with the shopkeeper putting on gloves before contact, which was perceived as "incredibly dehumanizing and discriminatory." This individual strongly advised others to avoid the place if they wish to experience "Racism in 2024."
Another regular customer corroborated issues with staff, noting that "the staff there are so unfriendly." This consistent negative feedback on customer service stands in stark contrast to expectations for hospitality in such establishments, and it directly impacts the overall enjoyment and comfort of patrons.
A significant point of concern raised by a recent reviewer is the lack of proper hygiene. It was noted that "the machine is not disinfected after every guest," which the reviewer considered "very important personally," especially given the high-traffic location on the Reeperbahn. In an environment where multiple people touch the same surfaces, this oversight is a notable drawback for health-conscious visitors.
Based on the available reviews, Vulkan Spielhalle Hamburg St. Pauli appears to be an establishment with a divided reputation. While brief positive remarks exist, they are either outdated or lack detail. The more recent and detailed reviews highlight serious issues including alleged racism, consistently unfriendly staff, a perceived lack of winnings, and inadequate machine disinfection. Potential visitors should be aware of these significant concerns before deciding to visit. For an experience where "you are treated with respect," alternative casinos in the Reeperbahn area might be a more advisable choice.
I had an extremely unpleasant experience at Vulkan Spielhalle Hamburg St. Pauli on the Reeperbahn. This was my first visit to Germany and Hamburg, and I was excited to explore. Unfortunately, my visit to this establishment was marred by a shocking display of rudeness and racism from the shopkeeper. When I entered and asked for information about the place, the shopkeeper rudely told me to "get out of the store." He then approached me in an aggressive manner, attempting to push me out. Adding insult to injury, he put on gloves before even touching me, clearly to avoid any physical contact, which felt incredibly dehumanizing and discriminatory. This was one of the most blatant acts of racism I have encountered recently. As a visitor eager to learn about and enjoy the local culture, this experience was deeply disappointing and upsetting. I strongly advise others to avoid this place or if you want to experience "Racism in 2024" this is best place to be in!!!
How funny is that, the owner only responds to the positive feedback!!I was a regular customer where I played in all three halls on the Reeperbahn, and always left a lot of money there, but I don't go there anymore, firstly, the staff there are so unfriendly, and secondly, I have never won anything there, never, I have played there a lot and never won anything, that also takes away my mood and desire, thirdly, the machine is not disinfected after every guest, which would be very important to me personally!!!Especially on the Reeperbahn where you have to pay even more attention to cleanliness!!I think the Casino Reeperbahn is much better, at least you are treated with respect there!
