Located in Saarbrücken, Germany, Casino Homburg der Saarland Spielbanken presents itself primarily as a destination for slot machine enthusiasts. Based on various visitor experiences, the casino offers a unique, albeit sometimes polarizing, gaming environment.
One of the most notable aspects of Casino Homburg is its focus on automated gaming. It is described as a "pure slots casino," meaning visitors will not find traditional table games such as roulette, blackjack, or poker with live dealers. This can be a significant point of consideration for those seeking the classic "casino character" or the audible charm of a spinning roulette wheel.
The facility is equipped with approximately 64 slot machines, featuring popular systems like the Cash Connection jackpot and the chance to win a Mystery Jackpot. For players who enjoy the variety and fast-paced action of slot machines, this dedicated setup could be appealing.
Customer service at Casino Homburg appears to be a point of considerable divergence among reviewers. Some visitors have reported an exceptionally positive experience, highlighting an "extremely friendly welcome" and commendably attentive staff. Instances where staff provided drinks and answered questions readily have been specifically praised, with one reviewer even stating that the service "improved our rating by 1 star right from the start" and was notably better than in other Saarland casinos.
However, other accounts paint a starkly different picture. Criticisms include descriptions of staff as "rude" and "bad," with specific mentions of an "elderly manager at the bar counter." Negative reviews also point to staff who allegedly "watch TV loudly all the time," "only take care of a few specific guests," and show indifference to other patrons, even if they are acting disruptively at the machines. This inconsistency suggests that the quality of service can vary significantly, potentially impacting a visitor's overall enjoyment.
The casino's physical layout is relatively modest, comprising two main rooms, a cashier area, and a bar. While some visitors found their time "very nice" and "fun," others have reported issues with cleanliness, describing the premises as "dirty." This suggests that while the setup is functional for its purpose, the overall ambiance might not consistently meet expectations for a premium casino experience. The absence of traditional live games inherently shapes the atmosphere, leaning more towards a casual gaming hall rather than a grand casino.
Casino Homburg der Saarland Spielbanken appears to be a mixed bag, offering a straightforward slot machine experience without the frills of a full-service casino. Its greatest strengths, when present, lie in its potentially welcoming and attentive staff, which can significantly enhance a visit. However, reported issues with staff demeanor and cleanliness are significant drawbacks that prospective visitors should consider. For those specifically looking for a dedicated slot machine venue in Saarbrücken, it could be a "cool" and "fun" option, provided they encounter the more positive side of its service.
Casino Homburg is our 51 casino that we have visited. And first of all, we have rarely received a friendlier welcome. But let's get to our description. The Homburg casino is a pure slots casino, which always makes a rating a little more difficult because it always lacks a little bit of the casino character or, better, the charm of the sound when the ball spins in the wheel. But well, in this case it was made a little easier for us because the three gentlemen who were there improved our rating by 1 star right from the start. We were very kindly provided with drinks and our questions were answered without much thought. We have experienced this very differently in the other Saarland casinos. Let's talk briefly about the premises. The casino consists of 2 rooms with a cashier area and a bar. There are around 64 slot machines including the Cash Connection jackpot system. There is also a chance of winning a Mistery Jackpot. We didn't have much time to play, but the time we were there was very nice. Thanks to the great staff. We give this 3 out of 5 possible stars. 1 of which goes to the good staff. Thank you
Dirty and rude.. Terrible especially the elderly manager at the bar counter...
I'm sure that there is no other casino in the country with such bad staff as the men in Homburg (apart from the gentleman with the bald shave, he does his job correctly), the others watch TV loudly all the time, only take care of a few specific guests and everyone Others don't care about them. They don't care whether some people bang on the devices wildly. But I think the management doesn't care at all, the main thing is that the cash register is right in the end 😉 not recommended!!!
