Las Vegas Casino Guide and Review

The Las Vegas Casino in Budapest, Hungary, presents a rather mixed picture based on recent and past visitor reviews. While some guests have had positive interactions, a significant number report negative experiences, particularly concerning staff behavior and policies towards international visitors.
👍 The Positives: What Guests Appreciate
Despite the recurring complaints, some aspects of the casino have received commendation:
- Attentive Staff (Historically): One older review specifically highlighted that the staff "really went out of their way to make you comfortable." This suggests that good service is possible, though recent reviews indicate a decline.
- Gaming Facilities: The casino is noted for having "nice poker tables & tournaments," which is a key draw for many casino-goers.
- Bar Offerings: While one reviewer playfully mentioned "maybe missing a choice of cakes," the presence of a bar is appreciated, suggesting it caters to basic beverage needs.
👎 Key Concerns & Negative Experiences 😠
The majority of recent feedback paints a less favorable image, centering on several critical issues:
Customer Service Issues 😒
- Rude Staff & Alleged Scams: A very recent review detailed an incident where a waitress was described as "kinda rude" and allegedly "scammed" a guest out of 500 HUF by not returning the correct change. This points to potential honesty and service quality issues.
- General Unwelcoming Behavior: Across multiple reviews, guests reported an overall "unwelcoming behaviour" from staff, particularly if they were perceived as foreigners or spoke English.
Unwelcoming to Foreigners 🚫
This is a recurring and strong theme in the negative reviews:
- ID Acceptance Issues: A common complaint is the casino's strict and seemingly arbitrary policy regarding identification. One guest, despite being Hungarian and speaking the language, was refused entry with a Florida ID and was told they would "possibly" be allowed in only if they retrieved their passport. This indicates a potential bias against foreign-issued IDs.
- Discrimination Based on Language: Another review explicitly stated "Unwelcoming behaviour by staff if you speak English," suggesting a lack of hospitality towards non-Hungarian speakers.
- Charging for Basic Amenities: Unlike many casinos globally that offer complimentary drinks (especially non-alcoholic ones) to players, this establishment is criticized for "CHARGE EVEN COFFEE & WATER." This practice is seen as poor value and contributes to a negative atmosphere.
Overall Experience
The cumulative effect of these issues leads to a generally disheartening experience for many. As one reviewer put it, visitors might "LOST YOUR MONEY & NOT ENJOY PLAY," emphasizing that the lack of enjoyable service detracts significantly from the gambling experience itself.
Overall Verdict
The Las Vegas Casino in Budapest appears to be a place with a stark contrast in guest experiences. While it may offer decent poker tables and tournaments, its reputation is significantly marred by consistent reports of unwelcoming staff, discriminatory practices towards foreigners, and a perceived lack of basic hospitality such as charging for common casino amenities. Potential visitors, especially those from abroad, should be aware of these reported issues regarding ID acceptance and general service quality before planning a visit.
Waitress is kinda rude and she scammed me 500 huf (didn't give back the right amount of money when I paid for my drink).
Foreigners are not welcome!! A külföldiek nem szívesen látnak!! They would not accept my ID because I was from Florida even tho I spoke Hungarian with them because I am Hungarian and I was very polite to them. They said if I leave and go grab my passport then they will “possibly” let me in! Unbelievable!!
The stuff really went out of there way to make you comfortable.Nice poker tables & tournaments.Maybe missing a choice of cakes in the bar, but all in all very nice!
