Gold Rush Casino Camden Guide and Review

Located in Bray, Gold Rush Casino Camden presents a varied picture, with recent visitor experiences ranging from highly positive to deeply negative. As a casino, it offers the standard allure of gaming, but customer interactions and the overall atmosphere appear to be inconsistent.
What Visitors Are Saying π£οΈ
The Positives π
- Friendly Staff & Good Atmosphere: Some patrons have reported positive interactions with staff, describing them as "nice" and "kind." One review specifically highlights a manager with a "very good attitude and vibes," contributing to a "good atmosphere." This suggests that some individuals working at the casino are indeed providing a pleasant experience.
- Winning Potential (Historically & Occasionally): While opinions vary, there are mentions of past periods where winning was more common ("you could win there basically every single day" 5 years ago). Even more recently, some visitors claim to still "win there some good money time to time."
- Compact & Manageable Size: Described as "small, but nice," the casino's size might appeal to those looking for a more intimate gaming environment rather than a sprawling complex.
The Negatives π
- Serious Allegations of Racism: A very concerning review describes an incident where potential customers were allegedly denied entry due to their perceived ethnicity, being told they were "Spanish" despite not being so. This is a severe accusation that points to potentially discriminatory practices at the door, leading to a "disgusting" and "worst moments" experience for the individuals.
- Unfriendly and Disengaged Staff: Beyond the racism claim, other reviews detail instances of exceptionally unfriendly staff. Complaints include security "laid back in the chair with his legs wide apart staring at his phone" and a cashier who "refused to speak just mumbling pointing somewhere." This suggests a general lack of professionalism and customer service, leaving visitors feeling unwelcome and like they were "begging for money."
- Decline in Experience & Atmosphere: There's a noticeable sentiment that the casino has declined from its past glory. What was once a bustling place where you "had to wait when someone leave so you can play" is now described as having "just few people." The slots are also perceived as "too tight," indicating a reduced chance of winning compared to previous times.
Overall Assessment π€
Gold Rush Casino Camden seems to be a place of stark contrasts. While some visitors have enjoyed a pleasant time, citing friendly staff and occasional wins, others have encountered significant issues ranging from extreme unfriendliness and disengagement from staff to very serious allegations of racial discrimination at the entrance. The perception of the casino's atmosphere and winning potential has also shifted, with many feeling it has deteriorated over the past few years.
Prospective visitors should be aware of these mixed experiences and consider the potential for encountering poor customer service or, in extreme cases, discriminatory behaviour, alongside the possibility of a positive gaming session.
Racist employees. There is a guy at the door that didnβt even let us come in because we are βSpanishβ.First, we are not.Second, if we were, I donβt see why the entrance was prohibited. One of the worst moments of my life.DISGUSTING.
Used to be good approx 5+ years ago.U could win there basically every single day and back time it was full of people so u have to wait when someone leave so u can play BUT now u can see just few people coz simple thing.Slots ur to tide like most casinos around BUT u can still win there(Camden st.,Rathmines) some good money time to time definitely better then EMPIRE CASINO next to river in City that place is really, really, really bad. After all ALL casinos ur bad just marking someone else rich so DON'T PLAY.
Small, but nice place to spend some time after drinking season. We spend some money, we win some money, atmosphere was good. There was some manager with very good attitude and vibes. Very talkative and nice guy. Girls were pulling us home too soon :-), but we gonna come again!
Extremely unfriendly.First time and never will come back.Security laid back in the chair with his legs wide apart staring at his phone in the centre of the hall.Tattooed young lady at the cash desk refused to speak just mumbling pointing somewhere in front of her. The general feeling was as I got to their house begging for a money.Brrrrr..... Stay away
