One of the downsides to having an arcade in a small town like Midleton is that visitors are uncommon. While in its early days the arcade had plenty of classics you'd expect to see, such as Time Crisis, House Of The Dead and Battle Gear 4, now the arcade has recently done away with it's last pool table, leaving only two mediocre light gun games, an air hockey table in an inconvenient position, a basketball hoop and several UFO Catcher clones. I cannot speak for the casino, but not long after the pandemic started (or possibly slightly beforehand) they expanded some of its area, making it cut into the arcades space. The casino is likely where they make the majority of its revenue, so at that rate why not just shut down the arcade and embrace their cashcow?
Good spot to kill some time, perhaps even win some cash. Down side, can get pretty noisy with a lot of machines going at one. Other then that no issues.
