Casino Palace Guide and Review

Casino Palace, located in Dundalk, Ireland, functions primarily as a casino, offering patrons various gaming machines. Based on recent customer feedback, the overall sentiment regarding this establishment is largely negative, with significant concerns raised about machine payouts, management practices, and overall customer experience.
The Good: Staff and Cleanliness āØ
Despite the pervasive negative feedback, one consistent highlight mentioned by multiple reviewers is the quality of the staff and the cleanliness of the venue:
- The staff are consistently described as "lovely" and attentive, frequently offering refreshments to customers.
- Reviewers appreciate that the premises are kept "clean and tidy," with toilets reportedly cleaned on a regular basis.
Areas of Significant Concern š
Machine Fairness and Payouts šø
This is perhaps the most frequently cited and impactful negative point. Customers express deep dissatisfaction with the perceived fairness and payout rates of the gaming machines:
- Poor Returns: Regular patrons spending "hundreds and thousands of pounds" report receiving "little to nothing in return," describing a consistent lack of wins even after significant expenditure (e.g., £400 or £700 without notable wins).
- Perceived Bias: There's a strong belief that individuals who visit only for "free £10 credits" tend to win more, while loyal customers who invest heavily get no returns.
- Allegations of Unfair Play: Disturbing claims include staff members allegedly informing friends which machines are likely to pay out, creating an uneven playing field. Additionally, customers report instances of others putting money into machines while they are on a break, with no intervention from staff or management.
Management and Customer Relations š
Management's approach to customer service and loyalty appears to be a major pain point:
- Disregard for Regulars: Reviewers state that management and ownership show little concern for their "big spending customers," contrasting this with a perceived preference for "leeches" or those seeking free credits.
- Unhelpful Responses: When customers raise complaints, they are reportedly met with unhelpful replies, such as being told, "no-one put a rope round your neck and dragged you in."
- Unprofessional Conduct: One reviewer identified the manager as "the worst" for the casino.
Security and Environment Concerns š®āāļø
Several issues related to safety and comfort within the casino have been highlighted:
- Underage Gaming: Concerns have been raised about underage individuals entering the casino and winning, only to be asked to leave "when it is too late."
- Uncomfortable Atmosphere: Patrons report feeling uncomfortable due to other people "watching while we play the machines," with no action taken by staff.
- Solicitation: There are also reports of individuals asking for money inside the casino, again without staff intervention.
Membership and Entry Issues šļø
Operational aspects of the casino's membership system also draw criticism:
- Entry Denial: A customer with a membership card was allegedly denied entry despite being 29 years old.
- Unwanted Communication: Even after officially closing their membership and returning their card, a customer continued to receive marketing texts.
Conclusion š
Casino Palace in Dundalk seems to suffer from severe issues that overshadow its positive aspects, such as clean facilities and pleasant staff. The consistent reports of unfair machine payouts, perceived favoritism towards non-spending customers, lax security regarding underage entry and uncomfortable public behaviour, and poor management responses to customer complaints paint a picture of a venue struggling to maintain a positive and fair environment for its patrons. Many loyal customers feel undervalued and exploited, leading to a strong recommendation from some to "avoid this place like a plague." The recurring theme is that while the staff are commendable, the systemic issues related to gaming fairness and management policy are deeply detrimental to the customer experience and may lead to a further decline in patronage.
What can I say about this place? Nothing good. What can I say about the staff? A lot of good. The staff always offer refreshments and always make sure the place is kept clean and tidy. Toilets are cleaned on a regular basis. However management and owner do not give a toss about their regular customers who spend a lot of money in this dump. Hundreds and thousands of pounds through machines and little to nothing in return. People who only come in to get their free 10 pounds seem to win all round them. People like myself and others pump the machines and get nothing. Under age people come in and win as well then are asked to leave when it is too late. People watching while we play the machines making us feel uncomfortable and not a word said to them. People asking for money and not a word said to them. There used to be some enjoyment in this place but if you are a regular and spend a lot of money the enjoyment factor goes out the window. If you are a leech who just comes in for free credit you will win all round you. People putting money into other people's machines while they are on a smoke break or at the counter changing notes and not a word said to them. When we complain we get told no-one put a rope round your neck and dragged you in which is true but I thought it would be sensible to look after your big spending customers rather than the leeches. This place has lost a lot of customers and will end up losing a lot more if they are not careful. I would honestly say to avoid this place like a plague because they don't give a toss about us and look after the leeches and vultures who watch others
Staff treating very bad i have membership card she is not allowing me inside Iām 29 years old date 30/12/2024 1:10 am its not good who is the manager that is the worst for casino palesCheck cc tv
If you are prepared to spend up to 400 pound a nite without a win then this is the place for you. Staff are lovely and the place is clean but machines do not pay out .
I lost over £700 last week without even getting a 4 of a kind. I've heard certain staff telling their friend which machine to play. And if the boss would like to know which staff I will tell him but the truth is that you are on a losing streak because staff are giving their friends information. Its a disgrace I don't mind losing but when I heard a staff member indicating to her friend which one to play she went a put money in 4 different machines to make sure that no one has a fair chance. I'd like a fair chance of winning or losing for that matter but it used to be a nice place where you had a good day then a bad day that's the way it goes. But I've been robbed of £700 this week because staff are in on it
I closed my membership with them handed in my card and there still sending me out texts for spin the wheel
