Klubs "Studio 69"

Klubs 'Studio 69' in Riga presents a highly mixed bag of experiences for visitors. While its primary type is listed as a casino, user reviews overwhelmingly describe it as a nightclub with prominent adult entertainment elements, including dancers and associated services, rather than a traditional gambling establishment.

The Good 👍

Some patrons have found positive aspects during their visits:

  • Atmosphere & Music: One reviewer praised the club for being "really cool" with "fantastic music," suggesting a lively party environment. The club is reported to get "half full and it was full party until 05:00" after midnight.
  • Friendly Staff & Cocktails: The general staff has been described as "friendly," and the cocktails available were noted as "nice."
  • Table Booking Value: For groups, booking a table (e.g., 350 Euro for 7 people) allows for the entire sum to be used for drinks, which was seen as a positive aspect for managing expenses and enjoying the club. Prices for drinks within the club are considered "decent."
  • Additional Entertainment: The venue occasionally hosts Russian stand-up artists and offers a "decent karaoke" experience, providing variety beyond the main dancefloor. Confetti rains on the dancefloor also contribute to a "good mood."

The Not-So-Good 👎

However, a significant number of reviews highlight serious concerns and negative experiences:

  • Aggressive Solicitation & High Costs:
    • Exorbitant & Unjustified Entrance Fees: Some visitors reported being charged as much as 40 Euro per person for entrance, with disappointment over the minimal entertainment provided ("2 dancers, that's it").
    • Rude & Demanding Dancers: Dancers are frequently described as "very rude" and aggressively "asking for tips without stripping," or pressuring patrons to spend money on private services within a connected "stripclub." One instance mentioned an "exotic dancer" costing 70 Euro, deemed a "very high price."
    • "Working Girls": The club is noted by some to be "always full of 'working girls'," which can detract from the overall atmosphere for certain patrons.
  • Unpredictable Entry & Bouncer Issues: There are reports of "Russian bouncers" arbitrarily denying entry by simply stating "private party," leading to a "total waste of time" for potential guests.
  • Financial Safety Concerns: One review explicitly mentioned a card being "scammed" for 70 Euro, advising future visitors to "pay cash" to avoid similar issues.
  • Music & Noise Level: While some enjoyed the music, another review described it as "awful music" and so loud that "you can't speak at all" due to the volume.
  • Interior Aesthetics: The interior was described by one reviewer as having a "Gypsy Hermitage' style," which may not appeal to all tastes.

Key Considerations Before Visiting 🤔

  1. Understand the Venue's True Nature: Despite its official categorization, Klubs 'Studio 69' operates primarily as a nightclub with significant adult entertainment elements, not a traditional casino.
  2. Be Prepared for Costs: Entrance fees can be high and potentially arbitrary. Be wary of dancers or staff aggressively pushing for tips or private services, as this seems to be a common complaint.
  3. Consider Your Payment Method: Based on past incidents of card scams, paying in cash is strongly recommended to mitigate financial risks.
  4. Expect a Mixed Crowd & Atmosphere: The club's ambiance can be heavily influenced by the presence of dancers actively seeking business and a potentially unpredictable door policy.
  5. Music Volume: If you prefer to converse easily or seek a quieter atmosphere, the reported extreme loudness of the music might be a deterrent.

Overall Verdict ⚖️

Klubs 'Studio 69' is a highly polarizing venue that garners strong opinions. It might appeal to groups looking for a loud, late-night party experience with stage dancers and the convenient option to book tables for drinks. However, potential visitors should be acutely aware of the significant risks associated with high and potentially arbitrary charges, aggressive solicitation from dancers, and reported issues with entry or payment security. It's a place where experiences can range wildly from enjoyable to highly disappointing, making it crucial to manage expectations and proceed with caution.

They charged us 40 euro per person for entrance. 2 dancers, thats it. They did not strip and was very rude and asked us for tips without stripping. Stay away.

We were travling 7 men, booked a table for 350 euro (you are then allowed to drink for all of the money!) Prices in the club are decent(expect for the exotic dancer that we bougth for one of our friends 70 euro, very hige price. On the dancefloor its strippers and so that tryes to get you to the strippclub located at the same club it drives down the mood some. The club acodring to the personal is often half full or more, we came early and about 00.00 the club was half full and it was full party until 05.00.The downsides is following. To much strippers that are on you to spend money. They scammed one of our cards on 70 euro, guess it could be worse (pay cash) you cant speak at all beacuse of the Music.Very positiveIf book a table for several people you can drink for the sum you booked for. Dancers at the stage to look at. Good drinks. Confettirain and such on dancefloor that gives good mood.
