Nice and cool but crowded during the weekends. Better to come during the weekdays to avoid crowds. However, it is a nice place to spend time with your children. Many theme parks to keep your kids happy and entertained.
We got the cable car up to Genting Highlands from Aswana station. Great views. Resort world has theme parks inside and outdoors which is great for families and younger generations. Plenty of high end shops and restaurants/cafes. Well worth visiting. There is a hotel but we only did day trip. There are also several casinos.

I went there through the cable car ride. It was an unforgettable experience. The resort is huge in that it houses many eateries, stores, the Highlands hotel and one of the most beautiful and largest casinos I have ever seen.
