Located near the vibrant Caudan Waterfront in Port Louis, Port Louis Casino stands as a well-known name in Mauritius's entertainment landscape. User reviews paint a picture of a venue with both its charms and significant areas for improvement, particularly regarding its modernization and offerings.
Historically, this casino has been considered "one of the famous" establishments in the region, attracting a consistent crowd. Many visitors appreciate the "nice enjoyable living atmosphere," finding it often "seem like crowd," which can contribute to a lively ambiance. When it comes to games, the casino provides "plenty games," specifically mentioning slot machines that can be played with either notes or tokens.
However, recent feedback frequently highlights a critical omission: the complete lack of table games. This is a significant point for many casino-goers. Furthermore, the slot machines themselves are described as "old slots," contributing to a general feeling that the venue is "outdated" and "needs to upgrade." Patrons have also noted the overall environment can be "dark, much darker than other casinos," with "bad lighting."
Experiences with the casino staff and facilities have been mixed. While some aspects are appreciated, areas needing attention have been consistently pointed out:
For entry into Port Louis Casino, it is absolutely essential to have a valid ID or passport. This is a strict requirement for all visitors.
Port Louis Casino offers a glimpse into Mauritius's gaming past. Its central location and generally crowded, lively atmosphere might appeal to some looking for a casual slot experience. The convenience of currency exchange is also a plus. However, the consistent feedback regarding its outdated facilities, the absence of table games, the presence of old slots, and occasional issues with staff attentiveness suggest that the casino is in need of significant investment and modernization to meet contemporary expectations. If you're seeking a simple, no-frills slot session and don't mind a dated environment, it might be an option. For those desiring a modern casino with a full range of gaming options and polished service, it may fall short.
One of the famous Casino situated near to the Caudan Water front, Port Louis. Nice enjoyable living atmosphere and plenty games are available.Always its seem like crowd. Also offering nice exchange rate for currency.
Dark, much darker than other casinos. Smoke alarm went off while we were there, and stayed on for about 10min, which the staff didn't seem to care too much about, however that sound was quite annoying. Staff did not care to inform people at the venue what was going on. Machines can be played with notes, or at other machines with tokens
