Located conveniently adjacent to a bustling mall in Mérida, Casino La Cima offers a gaming experience that garners mixed but insightful feedback from its visitors. While some highlight its entertainment value and positive aspects, others point out critical operational details and concerning experiences.
Primarily a casino, La Cima provides a space for those looking to try their luck and enjoy a few hours of entertainment. Here’s a breakdown of what visitors have reported:
Before planning your visit, be aware of these crucial points:
Casino La Cima Mérida presents itself as a casual gaming spot with agreeable food and friendly frontline staff. However, the reported issues concerning slot machine functionality and management's handling of disputes are significant red flags that prospective visitors should seriously consider. If you're looking for a simple, alcohol-free gaming experience with convenient food options, La Cima might suffice, but proceed with caution, especially regarding your gaming credits.
A fun place to while away some time… food is usually quite good as well, super friendly staff , and occasionally you can win some money……
Liked it better than Casino Life. Both located adjacent to mall. Bring your passport. Load the card with pesos. Machines don't take cash. Card only. No alcohol served at LA Cima. UPDATE: Visited LA Cima again yesterday. I forgot my La Cima card back home. Loaded new card but was charged a fee. (Forgot percentage). Not sure for what. Lost reloaded more funds no fee charged. Finally made all my monies back with a small profit.Charged another fee upon cash out.I am assuming Casino Life has the same fee structure. Not a big deal but thought I mention it. My Spanish is very limited so I have no clue what the fees are for. Enjoy!
I had originally given this casino a 3/4 star rating due to great service and large selection of slots. However after 2 sepèrate occurances of a slot machine stealing my money, I must amend my review. The first time this occurred I was up about 20000 pesos. The slot machine flashed an error code and two spins later I had lost 4000 pesos. I assumed I had hired max bet on accident, and pulled my card and cashed in my 16000 pesos. I thought nothing more of this, until the next time it happened. This time was different. I was up about 4000 pesos, when all of a sudden it flashed an error code and within 10 spins, my credits were gone. It did not hit me that the machine stole money and I got 1000 pesos of credit on my card and continued. 2 spins after my reload. It would not spin again and showed me at 0.00 credits. Now I knew something was wrong and called the manager. After almost 1 hours wait and several questions. The management determined it was somehow my fault and no refund was given. They argued that I had hit max bet yet again. I argued that even if I had hit max bet, there was no way to spend that much in 2 spins. The slot machine report also proved my point when it showed my starting amount to be 400 pesos instead of 942 pesos. However the management insisted there was a slot machine error, but just on the accounting side and gave no refund. Moral of the story, The machines at La Cima are rigged to cheat the customers, and to switch to max bet on their own. If you go to this place, you better watch your credits on every spin and remember that on 2 separate unrelated machines. Large amounts of credits have disappeared from my balance on 2 separate occations. And last of all, when you can prove a mistake occurred to management, they call you a liar and turn their shoulder. NO THANK YOU! Why would anyone go here again? Especially when there are far better casinos in this town such as Casino Life which is the best paying, nicest, casino and offers table games as well. La Cima has stolen my money 2 times and refused to give it back. I had 2 managers admit there was a slot machine error and still the big boss refused to give me my money back. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THESE CROOKS YOUR MONEY! MAKE THEM STOP STEALING FROM CUSTOMERS!
