Holland Casino Breda, located in the historic city of Breda, Netherlands, presents itself as a striking venue housed within a beautiful, old building that once served as a monastery. This unique setting provides an impressive backdrop for a casino experience, often praised for its grand interior and authentic ambiance. However, user reviews paint a picture of a place with significant contrasts, where the stunning architecture and gaming opportunities are sometimes overshadowed by notable concerns regarding customer service and dining options.
One of the most consistently lauded aspects of Holland Casino Breda is its physical location. Reviewers frequently highlight the casino's impressive interior and the charm of an authentic old building turned into a casino. The transformation from a monastery to a modern gaming establishment has seemingly preserved much of its original grandeur, making for a unique and memorable atmosphere. Visitors have described it as "the best Holland Casino" they've encountered, largely due to its aesthetic appeal.
In terms of gaming, the casino offers a wide array of options across its two floors. Guests can find plenty of tables and machines, catering to various preferences. Roulette, in particular, has been mentioned as a highlight, with one reviewer noting that the dealers were "entertaining and taught us quite a lot," enhancing the overall enjoyment of the game. Beyond the gaming, the casino also hosts live music nights, adding an extra layer of entertainment that many find fun.
Despite the beautiful setting and diverse gaming, customer service emerges as a significant area of concern, receiving strong negative feedback from several patrons. Issues range from rude interactions to serious accusations:
These severe criticisms suggest a potential inconsistency in staff professionalism and raise questions about management's handling of customer relations and disputes.
The casino's dining and bar services also received mixed, often critical, reviews. While it's acknowledged that it's primarily a casino and not a restaurant, the food quality and pricing have been points of dissatisfaction:
Holland Casino Breda undeniably offers a visually stunning and architecturally rich environment for gambling enthusiasts, complemented by a variety of games and occasional live entertainment. Its setting in a former monastery provides a truly unique casino experience. However, potential visitors should be aware of the recurring issues regarding customer service, which can range from minor rudeness to grave accusations and bans, significantly impacting the overall experience for some. Additionally, the food and beverage offerings appear to be overpriced for their quality. For those prioritizing the unique ambiance and gaming variety over culinary delights or impeccable service, it might be a worthwhile visit. However, if customer service and fair treatment are paramount, or if you're looking for a quality dining experience, caution is advised.
We had the best night ever! Located in a beautiful, old building that used to be a monastery, the casino has plenty of tables and machines on two floors. We had a blast playing roulette downstairs, the dealers were entertaining and taught us quite a lot. So far the best Holland Casino we have been to.
I visited this casino recently, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. The brunette lady at the entrance, who was checking documents, was incredibly rude. When I politely asked her to repeat where I should insert my card, she responded with sarcasm and an unpleasant attitude, making me feel as if I was stupid.I understand that working with people can be stressful, but this kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. Customer service should be based on respect and patience, especially in a place where people come to relax and enjoy their time.I hope management addresses this issue, as such behavior leaves a bad impression on visitors
Authentic old building turned into a casino, impressive interior, many games and machines, a bit pricey bar. Live music nights are fun.
It's a decent place to play but not for food.I mean it's not a restaurant so going here for food was not a good choice anyway. But paying 20 euros for some dishes that tastes like a bag of salt, is not pleasant. The only thing I thought was like 6/10, was the carpacio. Everything else tasted like pretty bad.I didn't try gambling, so can't judge that part. That's why I still give a 3 out of 5.
This is to warn anyone who might end up in the same situation out of the blue. If they treat their loyal customers like how they did, you can be worse. If you want to have a good expetience, avoid this place. Reason following:Maybe they need to replace management for a competent one. They falsely accused my family from stealing. My family has been customers of this place for many years. They have the platinum membership and loved to pass time in the machines. Still, they accused them of stealing (is insignficant in the context of how much they bring in). They never did any investigation or tried to clarify the situation before the drama they made... Accused, showed them on the screen as criminals and banned. When my family tried to explain their side of the facts, they refused to listen. If they really wanted to steal or were aware of what they were doing they wouldn't come back to play the day after. My family is deeply disappointed with how they were treated and this review is a warning for others that might end up in the same situation.Of course for me or anyone related with me this store and this company are in the list of places to avoid if you want to have a nice experience.
