Very well worth the money. Location is just amazing. I loved the view of the lagoon and the passing cargo ships everyday and the peacocks that roam freely around the grounds. If you like the gym like me, you have the place to yourself as it was always empty which was nice! Now… the only let down was that the hotel is ageing a bit. The TV was a bit old but that didn’t bother me. Who watches TV on a foreign trip?? StillHad some good channel selections though.Another slightly bad point… The lift broke down one day but thankfully I wasn’t in it! Was fixed super quick though. The lift repair guy was running around like crazy but he got the job done. Breakfast is really good, BIG shoutout to Glory who I saw every morning on my way to the buffet and she’s just the nicest person in there. Very attentive and just a really lovely person. Also one of the bar tenders whose name I don’t remember, he made me really good iced coffees and always had good convos with him. I’d book again, absolutely.

Excellent 7 night stay at the impressive Federal Palace Hotel. The staff were extremely kind and professional. My room had a comfortable bed, powerful aircon, and an amazing view of the huge gardens and the beautiful Lagoon. It was lovely to walk in the grounds in the morning and see the wildlife and the ships passing by. Food was good and Heineken was on draught. Security was good too - at the perimeter, the lobby entrance, and elevators. Lobby bar was a comfortable environment to relax in. Wifi was solid. I am very happy I chose here and not the Western brand-name alternatives.
The experience at Federal Palace was amazing. There was a buffet every morning. As usual, there were a lot of food options, and sometimes it got really confusing picking. Room had allowance for 2 people for buffet, and any extra person had to pay. Kids had to pay, I think, between N20 000 - 25,000 for the buffet. The swimming pool was very sizable, and there were lifeguards constantly around. There were very small swimming pools also for little kids. There was a football field for football enthusiasts.The only issue I had with this place was that the room did not have a smart television, and one was stuck watching boring programmes on tv.The ground of the hotel was sizable and one could walk around and stand by the wall to watch the sea.Service overall was ok.
