Crown Casino Continental

Located in the serene setting of Playa Bonita, Panama, the Crown Casino Continental presents itself primarily as a casino experience. Based on recent and past user reviews, this establishment offers a mixed bag of experiences for visitors. It's important to consider both its appealing features and potential drawbacks before a visit.

The Gaming Experience 🎲

For those looking for affordable table game action, Crown Casino Continental has been noted for offering $3 blackjack minimums, which is a significant draw, especially for budget-conscious players. Some recent reviews highlight that blackjack is available 24 hours a day, coupled with the availability of cheap beer, enhancing the casual gaming atmosphere.

However, the casino appears to lean heavily towards slot machines. Visitors have observed that despite having several table games, often only a limited number, sometimes just one, are open, even on busy nights like Fridays. This suggests that the focus is not on a vibrant table game scene, which might disappoint players seeking diverse live action. Some players have also expressed frustration with the slot machines, feeling they "never pay," and with blackjack, reporting quick losses, though individual luck always plays a significant role in such games.

Service & Transparency Concerns ⚠️

A notable and concerning issue highlighted in some past reviews pertains to the cash-out process for chips. One account from several years ago described a situation where a 7% "service charge and executive order" was allegedly deducted from chip cash-ins, leading to a substantial reduction in the payout. While this particular review is older, it's a serious claim that raises questions about payout transparency and practices, advising vigilance when cashing out winnings.

Beyond this, general service quality has received mixed feedback, with some reviews mentioning "bad services" and "bad food," contributing to a less than ideal overall experience for certain patrons.

Overall Value & Recommendations

The Crown Casino Continental seems to cater to a specific type of gambler: one who appreciates low minimums for blackjack and affordable drinks, and primarily enjoys slot machines. If you're seeking a bustling casino floor with a wide array of active table games, this might not be your ideal destination.

Potential visitors are advised to:

  1. Consider the casino's emphasis on slots over live table games.
  2. Be aware of past reported cash-out practices, particularly the mention of a "service charge" on winnings, and clarify any potential deductions before cashing out. 🧐
  3. Adjust expectations regarding food and overall service quality based on varied user feedback.

In summary, Crown Casino Continental offers an accessible gaming option in Playa Bonita with its low-cost blackjack and potential for 24/7 availability for some games. However, prospective visitors should be mindful of the potential for limited table game options, a focus on slots, and historical concerns regarding chip cash-out procedures. Your experience may vary.

Watch out! When you go to cash in your chips, they will skim 7% off the top and give you back less! They claim it is a tax, but it is not. My receipt says service charge and executive order. It was weird that the cashier got on the phone when she saw that I had $195 in chips, then printed out some bogus receipt to justify their skimming of your money! They took almost $14 !
