Casino La Hacienda Guide and Review

Located in Callao city, Casino La Hacienda offers a local gaming experience with a mix of traditional casino action and entertainment. Based on visitor feedback, it presents a balanced offering for those looking to enjoy some leisure time, though it has areas that could see improvement.
Game Offerings: Tables and Slots đ
The casino boasts a variety of gaming options to suit different preferences:
- Table Games: Patrons can find classic table games such as Blackjack, Baccarat, and Roulette.
- Blackjack Specifics: For blackjack players, the casino uses 6-deck shoes and offers early surrender. However, one notable point raised by a user is the reduction in betting spreads, from a previous 10-120 soles down to 10-60 soles, which some find restrictive.
- Electronic Games: A wide range of machines is available, including video poker and numerous slots. Some visitors, however, have noted that certain slot machines appear "ancient" and that the payout experience for slots can be frustrating, with machines seemingly "draining your money."
Atmosphere and Amenities â¨
Casino La Hacienda strives to provide more than just gambling, incorporating elements to enhance the visitor experience:
- Live Entertainment: A significant highlight mentioned by multiple reviewers is the presence of live bands and entertainment, particularly on weekends. This adds a lively and enjoyable atmosphere for patrons.
- Food and Drink: There are reports of "tasty night time dishes" available for those who wish to dine while playing. While one review ambiguously stated "No drinking but that's ok," other comments, such as the loyalty program offering "bottles of liquor," suggest that beverages are indeed available.
- Loyalty Program: For dedicated slot players, the casino offers a loyalty card program. This allows players to earn points that can be redeemed for various items, including bottles of liquor.
- Currency Exchange: All transactions within the casino are in Peruvian Soles (PEN). For international visitors, there is a currency exchange service at the cage that offers a "good rate" for USD.
- Cleanliness: The venue is generally regarded as clean by visitors.
Points to Consider đĄ
While offering a decent gaming experience, Casino La Hacienda has some aspects that future visitors should be aware of:
- Size: It is described as a "small place," which might not appeal to those accustomed to larger, more expansive casino resorts.
- Blackjack Rules: The reduced betting spreads on blackjack tables have been a point of contention for some players, impacting the perceived value of the game.
- Slot Performance: Expectations for slot machine payouts should be managed, as some users have reported them to be tight.
- "Not a Vegas" Experience: For those expecting a high-energy, grand casino atmosphere akin to Las Vegas, La Hacienda offers a more localized and perhaps more subdued gaming environment. It is seen by some as "a place to kill time and not to gamble" for big wins.
In summary, Casino La Hacienda in Callao is a functional local casino that provides a range of games, live entertainment, and some convenient amenities like currency exchange and a loyalty program. While it may not offer the expansive, high-stakes feel of international gaming hubs, it serves as a solid option for casual play and enjoying some evening entertainment in Callao.
I occasionally play blackjack here and it's ok. They have 6 deck shoes, early surrender, everything here is soles only (no USD, although you can exchange at a good rate at the cage), the spreads on BJ used to be 10-120 soles, but they eventually reduced it to 10-60 soles (DUMB!) hence the 3 stars. There are baccarat and roulette tables, video poker, and slots. There's also a loyalty card for slot players earning points to get things like bottles of liquor etc. Small place, could be better (should have better rules/spreads on blackjack), so I'll say 3.5 stars.
It's a place to kill time and not to gamble . Slot machines not playing with you. Just draining your money. We tried few machines and all same. Some machines are pretty ancient and belongs in museum. Place was pretty clean. Would try some different casinos next time. It's not a Vegas for you
Tasty night time dishes while you play. Good entertainment and music on the weekends.
Casino La Hacienda is the place to be if you are looking for some casino action. A wide range of machines, a big tables and cards area. There are always live bands and entertainment.
