The Palace Casino Cebu

The Palace Casino Cebu, located in Cebu City, Philippines, appears to be a source of significant dissatisfaction among many recent visitors. Based on a collection of user reviews, the casino consistently receives low ratings and strong criticisms, primarily revolving around its exclusionary policies, limited offerings, and problematic customer service.

Major Concerns Highlighted by Visitors ⚠️

Restrictive Admission Policy 🚫

Perhaps the most prominent and heavily criticized aspect of The Palace Casino Cebu is its highly restrictive admission policy. Multiple reviews indicate that the casino is "strictly only Foreigner", with Filipino nationals often being denied entry, even when accompanied by foreign guests. This policy has led to profound disappointment and accusations of being "backward" and "unbelievable" from affected visitors. One reviewer explicitly stated that their "Filipina girlfriend and I were on vacation from Canada," and while they were allowed in, she was not, simply "because she’s Filipino." This has caused many to take their money elsewhere, deeming the experience discriminatory.

Limited Gaming Options & Venue Size 🎲

Visitors frequently express disappointment with the casino's gaming selection and overall size. While one review mentions "baccarat, blackjack, roulette, and slot machine" as available games, another directly states "No Slot Machine this Area." This contradiction suggests either changes in offerings or inconsistent experiences. Regardless, the consensus is that the variety is "very boring as opposed to Las Vegas, which probably has 30 different types of games." The casino is also described as "small," with one user likening its total size to "three hotel lobbies," a stark contrast to larger international casinos.

Customer Service & Staff Conduct 😠

While one review did acknowledge that "Most of the employees are very nice," this sentiment is heavily overshadowed by numerous complaints regarding staff behavior. Reviewers have described employees as "rude and disrespectful" and "very arrogant." Additionally, a concern about privacy was raised, with one user noting "no privacy with any of your information," linking it to a broader issue observed in some professions in the Philippines.

Privacy and Licensing Issues 🤔

Beyond customer service, one user specifically reported "No Pagcor License," which, if true, would be a significant regulatory concern for a casino operating in the Philippines. This claim, along with the aforementioned privacy issues, contributes to a perception of a less-than-professional or transparent operation.

Notable Points from Reviews

  1. Some users noted that the casino primarily caters to and sees "Korean and Japanese customers inside."
  2. Despite the overwhelming negatives, a single positive remark mentioned some employees were "very nice," though this was quickly followed by strong criticisms regarding privacy and arrogance.

Alternatives Suggested ✨

Given the prevalent dissatisfaction, several reviewers strongly recommend alternative venues. Nustar Casino is frequently highlighted as a much better option, particularly for Filipinos. Users praise Nustar for welcoming all Filipinos (requiring only a valid ID, Nustar Reward ID, or proof of age 21 ), with no strict passport requirements, making it a more accessible and welcoming environment for a broader audience.

Overall Recommendation

Based on visitor feedback, The Palace Casino Cebu presents a largely negative experience, particularly due to its discriminatory entry policies, perceived lack of gaming variety, small scale, and reports of poor staff conduct. Potential visitors, especially Filipino nationals, are strongly advised to consider alternative entertainment options in Cebu City.

Most of the employees are very nice but no privacy with any of your information, same with most "professions" here in the philippines. Most are very arrogant.

No Slot Machine this Area. No Pagcor License. Strictly only Foreigner. Very Disappointed. GO TO NUSTAR WAS BEST PLACE THE MALL AND CASINO. NUSTAR to all Filipinos welcomes you if either Valid ID, Nustar Reward ID or ask above Age 21 to enter. Nustar like No Passport required strictly, Just enter. Nustar like Everyone to enter.

This place doesn’t even deserve ONE star. The staff were rude and disrespectful. For some background info my Filipina girlfriend and I were on vacation from Canada. This casino would let me in, but not her. Just because she’s Filipino. Unbelievable. I told the staff this is the most backward thing I’ve ever experienced and I took my money elsewhere. DO NOT GO HERE! (J park was nice though. Just the casino is garbage.)

The games here baccarat, blackjack, roulette, and slot machine. Very boring as opposed to Las Vegas, which probably has 30 different types of games. I only saw Korean and Japanese customers inside. The total size of this casino is probably equal to three hotel lobbies which means it’s small (one casino in Las Vegas is probably equal to 100 hotel lobbies in terms of total size). The owner of this casino is the Filipino government (I think). The owner of J Park resort is someone else (I think).
