Located in the scenic Tagaytay City, Philippines, Prime Pokerclub Manila presents itself as a dedicated poker establishment, offering a vibrant and competitive environment for card enthusiasts. While the primary type of place is listed as a casino, user reviews overwhelmingly focus on its identity as a poker room. This review synthesizes various user experiences to provide a comprehensive look at what you can expect.
Many visitors have praised the overall ambiance and setup of Prime Pokerclub. The room is often described as having a high ceiling and bright lights, contributing to a comfortable and engaging playing environment. Beyond the aesthetics, the club is noted for:
Prime Pokerclub Manila caters to a range of players with different bankrolls. Reviewed cash game stakes include:
The club also hosts tournaments, adding another dimension to its poker offerings.
Despite the positive aspects, several recent reviews raise serious concerns that prospective visitors, especially foreigners, should be aware of:
A recurring and significant issue revolves around alleged inconsistent rule enforcement and favoritism towards local players, particularly attributed to a floor manager named Kasey.
Multiple one-star reviews explicitly accuse the club of:
These severe allegations suggest that the club's management practices may lead to an unfair and unwelcoming environment for non-local players. Some reviewers strongly advise foreigners to "stay away" and suggest alternative venues like Okada and City of Dreams in Manila, citing their fairer treatment of all players.
Prime Pokerclub Manila offers a generally comfortable and active poker environment with friendly players, good food, and accessible English-speaking staff. It caters to various stake levels and hosts tournaments.
However, the significant and repeated accusations of unfair rule enforcement, favoritism towards locals, and even alleged racism by a specific floor manager ("Kasey") are major red flags. These concerns, if true, severely undermine the integrity and enjoyment of the playing experience for international visitors.
Recommendation: If you are a local player, you might find Prime Pokerclub Manila to be a good spot for consistent poker action. However, foreign visitors should proceed with extreme caution and be aware of the serious allegations of discriminatory practices. It is advisable to observe the games and floor management closely before committing significant time or money, or consider exploring other well-regarded poker venues in the greater Manila area.
I visited there on Sunday when they ran the tournament. High ceiling, bright lights, tasty foods, good dealers skin, all comfortable poker room. The players are also friendly. When I visited they had 25-50 and 50-100 tables. 25-50 was 10 max
Went here lots of times during a visit to Manila in Dec 2024. Pretty friendly inside, quite a safe area outside (if you are sensible.)Locals can be quite nitty but have some good banter. Quite a few high roller Koreans if you fancy higher stakes too. English is a commonly spoken language here.I found the staff, dealers and other regulars to be quite welcoming. Would recommend and will be back some day!
I’ve been playing here for the past few days as I’m here as holidays was a good experience until the floor manager Kasey who didn’t know the rules ruled in favour of the local player then a few hands later one of the locals did the exact same thing as my friend when no one was watching if I said something they would of lied there are different rules for different players and foreigners
Racist floor managers that only favor the localsStay away if you are a foreigner, heavy collusion with many house players! There are so many other places in manila to spend your time and money - Okada and city of dreams are a lot better and treat everyone fairly
I have seen the floor manager (Kasey) make up different rules to appease the locals and screw over foreigners. they created different rulings for my friend based on his skin colour but let the locals get away with the exact same thing.don't play here unless you want to deal with racists that heavily favour the locals.
