SPOKER CLUB Guide and Review

Located in the vibrant city of Brașov, Romania, Spoker Club positions itself as a key destination for casino enthusiasts, with a clear focus on its poker offerings. Drawing from various user experiences, the club generally receives positive remarks for its poker environment, though some areas warrant attention for an even better visitor experience.
The Poker Experience: A Player's Perspective ♠️
For cash game aficionados, Spoker Club frequently earns high praise. Reviewers consistently highlight the professionalism and kindness of the staff, including dealers and waitresses. Their ability to communicate effectively in English, and sometimes French, ensures a smooth experience for international players. Furthermore, the consensus points to a game where mistakes are rare, international rules are respected, and the play is honest. The player base is often described as friendly and respectful, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere at the tables.
A significant draw for poker players is the competitive 2% capped rake, which some consider to be among the best rates not just in Romania, but potentially across Europe. This favorable rake structure makes Spoker Club particularly appealing for regular play.
However, a recurring sentiment among players is the desire for more consistent and earlier game starts. The limited availability of games, particularly on certain days, can be a point of frustration for those looking to play regularly.
Beyond the Tables: Ambiance & Facilities 🍻
Beyond the poker room, Spoker Club offers more than just card games. Patrons have noted the presence of a cozy sports bar, providing an alternative space for relaxation and enjoyment. In the past, the club also featured a kitchen that served "quite good" food, though its current operational status is unclear post-pandemic mentions.
Overall, the club is often described as having "good vibes" and being "cosy n addictive," suggesting a welcoming and engaging environment for its patrons.
Points for Improvement ⚠️
While many aspects of Spoker Club are well-received, some critical feedback points to areas where improvements could significantly enhance the visitor experience:
- Inconsistent Opening Hours: At least one reviewer noted that the club was advertised as open on a Sunday but was not, indicating potential discrepancies in listed hours or operational consistency.
- Lingering Odors: A prominent concern raised is a "very strong smell in the poker room" that can be difficult for sensitive individuals to endure for extended periods. Addressing ventilation and air quality would greatly benefit player comfort.
- Staff Consistency: While most staff are lauded for their professionalism, there was a specific mention of an individual dealer who made frequent mistakes (misdeals, chip counting errors) and responded with sarcasm to player feedback. Ensuring consistent high standards across all staff members is crucial for maintaining player satisfaction.
Final Thoughts ✨
Spoker Club in Brașov presents itself as a commendable destination for poker enthusiasts, particularly those interested in cash games. Its commitment to fair play, competitive rake, and generally professional staff are strong assets. However, to truly excel, addressing the issues of operational consistency, improving air quality in the poker room, and ensuring uniform staff excellence would elevate the club to an even higher standard. Despite these minor setbacks, for a dedicated poker player in Brașov, Spoker Club remains a highly recommended spot.
About the cash game: the staff dealers and waitress are caring and kind, also they speaks English without problem and sometimes French. Mistakes are rare and all international rules are respected. The game is very honest and players are friendly and respectful. When at 2% caped rake it's by far the best you can get in Romania and even in Europe. Too bad the game don't start earlier and every day.Overall i highly recommend you to come here.
I was there a Sunday.. It said it was open, but it was not.. There is a very strong smell in the poker room and it's hard to stay there for long, if you are a bit sensitive. They should definitely get rid of that awful smell 🙏
Spoker is a pretty cool place which, besides the poker room, has a cozy sports bar. It also features a kitchen that was open before the pandemic and the food was quite good. The staff, led by Giulia, is very professional and well trained to deal with all types of players(except that one guy that makes many mistakes:misdeals, does not count chips well in a 3/4 bet round, does not pay attention to the game often enough to make people quite angry or at the very least unsatisfied and above all always answers with sarcasm to any 'heads up" from a player after his own mistakes - but hey, in every basket will be a rotten apple). To conclude, a well deserved 4 out of 5 for this nice poker room.
Nice staff, good vibes. When I came (Monday) only 1 table was playing but it was great. 2/5 blinds cash...
