Mall VIVO! Guide and Review

VIVO! Mall, located in Pitești, Romania, stands as a significant shopping destination in the region. While sometimes misidentified, it is fundamentally a modern shopping mall offering a range of retail and leisure activities, not a casino as some information might suggest. This review delves into its evolution, current offerings, and overall visitor experience, drawing insights from recent patron feedback.
A Glimpse into VIVO!'s Past 🕰️
VIVO! Mall has an intriguing history, having undergone several transformations. It was originally known as Euromall, and later, for a period, as Pitești Mall. Evidence of its past can still be seen in the architectural elements, such as the distinctive blue triangular pillars at the back, remnants of its original orange-blue Euromall design scheme. The mall’s ownership transitioned from its original proprietors to Immofinanz, leading to its rebranding as part of the VIVO! store chain. This change reflects a broader shift in its identity and perhaps its strategic direction.
Location & Ambiance ✨
One of VIVO! Mall's undeniable strengths is its strategic location. Situated close to the highway, it serves as a convenient stop for travelers, a point frequently highlighted by visitors. Beyond its accessibility, the mall boasts a truly pleasant environment, offering a "really nice view" that encompasses both the city of Pitești and the nearby river. This scenic backdrop enhances the overall experience, providing a more inviting atmosphere compared to some other retail centers.
Shopping & Dining Experience 🛒🍽️
The Store Selection: A Mixed Bag
The retail offerings at VIVO! Mall present a somewhat mixed picture. While it is noted for having "nice stores" that attract visitors, some patrons feel it "lacks variety" in its overall selection. This suggests that while the quality of individual shops might be good, the breadth of options could be improved. It's often described as a "cool mall to shop and waste time," indicating it's a suitable place for general browsing and fulfilling basic shopping needs.
Dining Options: Proceed with Caution
Similarly, the food court and dining options at VIVO! Mall receive varied feedback. While the "ambiance and service were decent" in general, there's a recurring sentiment that the mall "doesn't really have that many food options." One specific concern raised was regarding burger preparation, with a visitor noting their medium-rare order arrived "well-done," advising others to "make sure to stress your preference when ordering," though acknowledging this "might not help either." This suggests a potential inconsistency in kitchen execution for certain food items.
VIVO! in the Current Retail Landscape 📊
VIVO! Mall operates in a competitive retail environment, especially with the emergence of newer shopping centers like Argeș Mall. User reviews indicate that VIVO! experiences "less (but not few) visitors" compared to its past, and some describe it as "kind of stale and empty," suggesting it is "barely holding on" in the face of this competition. Despite these challenges, the mall "manages to stay alive," attracting enough patrons to maintain its operations. Its resilience is likely due to its strategic location and established presence.
Overall Impression & Recommendation ✅
VIVO! Mall in Pitești offers a decent shopping experience, particularly for those traveling on the highway or looking for a place to pass time. Its historical significance and pleasant views are notable assets. While it faces challenges in variety and visitor numbers compared to its heyday or newer competitors, it remains a functional retail destination. Visitors seeking a wide array of stores and diverse dining experiences might find it somewhat limited, but for a convenient stop with some good shops, VIVO! is still a viable choice. Its future in Pitești's evolving retail landscape will certainly be interesting to observe.
This used to be called Euromall (or more recently Pitești Mall)If you look closely at the back of the mall, you will see some blue triangular-like pillars, which belong to the original Euromall arhitecture which had the orange-blue color scheme.Anyway, the original owners sold the mall to Immofinanz and they changed it to VIVO!, a store chain. It is not like before, less (but not few) visitors, and manages to stay alive, despite of its more recent competition (Argeș Mall). It is located close to the highway, with nice stores, which attracts visitors. The view is really nice, with both the city and the river.I definitely recommend going here especially if you're going on the highway. What will happen to this mall, only time will tell.
The Mall is quite big but it lacks variaty as it doesn't really have that many stores or food options
The ambiance and service were decent, but be cautious when ordering burgers. I asked for medium, and it came out well-done. If you're particular about how your burger is cooked, make sure to stress your preference when ordering. But be ready this might not help either :(
