Resorts World Sentosa

Nestled on the vibrant Sentosa Island, Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) stands out as a premier destination, consistently lauded by visitors for its exceptional blend of entertainment, luxury, and family-friendly attractions. It offers a truly comprehensive resort experience, making it ideal for everything from adventurous vacations to relaxing retreats.

Unforgettable Attractions and Experiences 🎢

RWS is home to a spectacular array of world-class attractions that promise endless fun for all ages.

  • Universal Studios Singapore (USS): A perennial highlight, USS is a major draw, offering thrilling rides, immersive street experiences, and character encounters. Guests note it's particularly worthwhile if you're keen to explore the rides and soak in the park's atmosphere, with a special recommendation for Minion fans.
  • S.E.A. Aquarium: Explore the wonders of marine life at one of the world's largest aquariums.
  • Adventure Cove Waterpark: A fantastic spot for aquatic fun and excitement.

Beyond the major theme parks, the resort itself is designed to delight, with whimsical and artistic decor, such as a colorful popsicle ceiling installation and an oversized melting ice cream cone, adding to the unique and immersive atmosphere.

Accommodations and Comfort 🏨

Resorts World Sentosa boasts a collection of six unique hotels, catering to diverse preferences and budgets, including luxurious options like the Equarius Ocean Suites and TreeTop Lofts that offer exclusivity and family-friendly amenities.

Guests have praised the rooms for their comfortable and spacious design. For instance, one review highlighted a room with a double and two single beds that felt uncluttered, even with a teenager. While the in-room TV might not be a highlight, the sheer amount of activities outside means it's hardly missed.

Dining and Culinary Delights 🍽️

The resort offers an extensive range of dining options, from casual eateries to exquisite fine dining experiences. Whether you're craving international cuisine, fresh seafood, or local delicacies, there's a culinary delight to satisfy every palate.

Many visitors find the added-on buffet breakfasts to be excellent value, featuring a full buffet with a wide choice. Dinner options are generally good, though some have found them to be a bit pricey relative to portion sizes compared to other alternatives.

Amenities and Convenience 🛍️

RWS goes above and beyond to ensure a convenient and enjoyable stay:

  1. Pools: The resort features multiple pools, including a rooftop pool with a view (though occasionally closed for maintenance without warning) and a large "dream pool" perfect for laps and relaxation.
  2. Shopping: The Forum offers a mix of high-end brands and souvenir shops, making it ideal for retail therapy or picking up gifts.
  3. Transport & Services: The location is highly convenient, close to a free bus stop and directly opposite Universal Studios (with a short bus ride to the entrance). The hotel also provides a shuttle to a large mall and efficiently arranges taxis and shuttles upon request. Services like room service are highly rated, and the option to store bags after check-out is greatly appreciated for continued exploration.

Service Quality: A Mixed Picture 🤝

While the front desk and specific service requests (like arranging transport and bag storage) are consistently described as polite and efficient, one reviewer noted that the overall service within the resort can sometimes be "mediocre" despite excellent facilities. This suggests a varied experience regarding service, with some aspects shining while others might be inconsistent.

Overall Verdict and Recommendation ✅

Resorts World Sentosa is undeniably a must-visit destination in Singapore. It delivers a comprehensive and immersive experience, blending thrill, luxury, and relaxation seamlessly. With its world-class attractions, diverse dining, comfortable accommodations, and convenient amenities, it truly offers something for everyone, whether you're a solo traveler, a couple, or a family seeking an unforgettable getaway. Despite some minor notes on service consistency or dinner pricing, the overwhelming sentiment is one of high satisfaction for its value, location, and the sheer volume of quality experiences it provides.

Overall a great place to stay for comfort, service and location Nice size room. We had our 15 year old granddaughter with us and the room was not cluttered. It actually had a double and two singles. The TV wasn't great but we hardly watched. The location is close to a free bus stop and over the road from Universal but you need to get the bus to get to the entrance which is just a short drive. The hotel also has a shuttle to the large mall. We added breakfasts for a low price and they were excellent, a full buffet of choice. We had dinner twice and the food was nice although maybe a bit pricey compared to some options and portions. There's a nice pool on the roof with a view although it was closed for maintenence without warning the night we wanted to watch the light show and there's lovely big pools a short walk (dream pool) for laps and relaxing. Room service was great and they also arranged taxis and shuttles on request and stored our bags for the day on check out so we could still explore. Overall very satisfied for price and location. Front desk very polite and efficient.

I think Universal Studios Singapore is about what you make it. If you are someone who is happy to explore most of the rides, enjoy the street experiences and eat the food, it’s worth it. However I visited for about 2-3 hours purely out of convenience (I visited Sentosa for the Harry Potter experience) and walked around the park in half an hour or less. Highly recommend for minion fans.
