Located in Bilbao, Spain, Pause & Play is primarily recognized as a casino and adult entertainment venue. User reviews paint a picture of a place with both its strengths and significant areas for improvement, particularly concerning its dining services.
As a casino, Pause & Play appears to cater well to its primary audience. One reviewer highlighted a very positive experience, even receiving personalized service where a major sports game (Liverpool) was put on a large TV just for them, indicating a willingness to go the extra mile for customer satisfaction. Another succinct review mentioned, "Not a place for kids," which strongly reinforces its identity as an adult-oriented establishment, typical for a casino environment.
The quality of service at Pause & Play seems to be a significant point of contention among visitors. Some have praised the staff for their attentiveness and excellent demeanor:
However, other experiences describe service that is far from ideal:
While Pause & Play functions as a casino, it also offers dining options, but these seem to be a major weakness based on user feedback. The consensus points towards a poor restaurant experience:
Pause & Play in Bilbao appears to be a destination primarily for those seeking a casino experience. If you are looking for entertainment and gaming, especially if you appreciate staff willing to cater to specific requests (like putting on a sports game), you might find it enjoyable. However, based on recent reviews, visitors should temper their expectations regarding the restaurant services. The dining aspect of Pause & Play seems to be a significant detractor for many, plagued by issues with both food quality and customer service.
Recommendation: Visit for the casino, but consider dining elsewhere if a quality meal is a priority.
Iβd give it a 10 if I could - theyβve put the Liverpool game on a massive TV just for me - thanks guys
We were "taken care of" by a kind of Soviet tank that was not polite at all when it came to treatment or anything. He told everyone that bon appetit at meal time and he left it for us at the bar and left. It is a lack of respect that with all the money we leave here the deal is this. Everything was not bad since one of the other waitresses was much friendlier and treated us great. We also saw how the said waitress, who we will refer to as a Soviet tank (she has glasses), took away some customers' leftover potatoes very quickly and with great joy. I suppose that since we ate everything at my table, perhaps it made him feel bad that we didn't leave him anything. It's unfortunate that these types of people are hired.
It only serves as a casino because it is a very bad restaurant. Food is either very hot or very cold and on top of that it takes a long time to prepare the food (the hamburger was the worst I have ever had in my life, it seemed like I was eating a pickled pickle and the potatoes were burnt, hard and tasteless). The only good thing is the coffee. Oh and the food is left at the counter without warning, they don't bring it to your table.
It comes on Monday and I thought the service was incredibly good. Not only the attention towards us but the boy and girl who were there did not stop doing things at any time, not because the place would be full because it was late and that surprised me a lot.The boy was lovely to us.I returned today and I leave again with the same pleasant feeling. We will return for sure.
