Located in the charming city of Arahal, Seville, Casino Universal Arahal presents itself primarily as a casino. However, based on recent patron experiences, its identity leans heavily towards a revitalized culinary space, garnering both high praise and significant criticism, particularly concerning its customer service policies.
Diners seem to have contrasting experiences with the food on offer. Enthusiastic reviews highlight a "modern kitchen with exquisite dishes" and a "varied and quality culinary offer". Patrons have raved about specific dishes like "mini mechada montaditos with brie cheese" and "Inés Rosales cake," describing them as "spectacular" and indicating everything tried was "loved." The focus on "local products and reinvented recipes" is also noted as a strong point, contributing to an "appetizing" experience.
However, not all feedback is positive regarding the food. One concise review simply stated "Awful food," suggesting a lack of consistency or perhaps varying expectations among visitors.
The positive reviews commend a "young team" that has successfully "revitalized this emblematic space," keeping alive the "spirit of conviviality and hospitality" reminiscent of old casinos. This suggests a welcoming atmosphere for those enjoying an aperitif, a meal with friends, or a special evening, complemented by "first-class cuisine and friendly service."
Despite the potential for a pleasant dining experience, a significant and recurring issue raised by multiple users concerns the establishment's policy regarding access to facilities, specifically the restrooms. Several highly negative reviews detail instances where paying customers were denied access to toilets, being informed that these facilities are "only for members."
This policy is a serious deterrent for many, with reviewers stating they will not return due to this perceived lack of basic service for paying guests. It creates a confusing dual identity: a public restaurant/bar that withholds essential services based on membership status.
Casino Universal Arahal appears to be an establishment attempting to fuse a traditional casino club atmosphere with a modern culinary offering. While its food can be highly praised and the space revitalized, the stringent and seemingly contradictory policy regarding toilet access for non-member customers casts a significant shadow over the overall experience. Potential visitors should be aware of this policy, especially if planning to dine or have drinks with children, as it may lead to an unexpected and frustrating encounter. It seems to excel as a dining venue for members, but its public-facing restaurant operations are undermined by its members-only facility rules.
This young team has managed to revitalize this emblematic space, offering a varied and quality culinary offer, based on local products and reinvented recipes. Therefore, whether to enjoy an aperitif, a meal with friends or a special evening, this corner continues to keep alive the spirit of conviviality and hospitality that has always characterized the old casinos. If you add to this first-class cuisine and friendly service, the experience is truly appetizing.
Yesterday my daughter went and her little son was denied entry to the toilets. I find it incredible that a restaurant has an opening license without providing all the services that by law they have to have if only members can have access, then they should open the restaurant only for members.
Today we had a wonderful meal at the casino. I haven't been here in centuries and they have a modern kitchen with exquisite dishes. Their mini mechada montaditos with brie cheese and Inés Rosales cake are spectacular. We have loved everything we have tried. We will return
Today I want to inform you of something that happened to me yesterday, something that I think is wrong and I think should change.Well, yesterday afternoon I went with my husband and my son to have a coffee at the El Casino de Arahal bar, until then everything was normal, while there consuming as customers, my little son felt like peeing and his father accompanied him to the service and this is where the problem arose. When they were going to the service, the security personnel told my husband that they could not enter the service because it was a service only for members, to which my husband replied that we were not members but that we were customers and that at that moment we were there occupying a table and consuming, the security personnel again told him no, that the service was only for members and that if my son had to pee he would have to go to another establishment that is around. When they returned they told me what had happened and my son had to go to the bathroom of another establishment even though they were consuming as customers at El Casino de Arahal. I was completely surprised, I don't know about you but this is the first time this has happened to me, THAT WE ARE CONSUMPTING IN AN ESTABLISHMENT AND THEY DON'T LET US USE THE BATHROOM!!! I was so surprised that I thought the security staff might have misinformation and I went to another person who was working there to ask if this was really like this or this guy was wrong. This person confirmed that it was true that the bathroom could only be used by members, not customers. I sincerely believe that this IS NOT EVEN LEGAL, but well, I just wanted to inform all those who may receive this publication so that you know what you are looking for when you go to this place. The Arahal Casino, I certainly will not go again, I prefer to go to consume in other establishments in Arahal, such as where my son had to go to the bathroom where they can offer me all the services of a bar.
