Casino Roxy Guide and Review

Nestled in Valladolid, Casino Roxy offers a distinctive blend of gaming and dining within a venue that was once a vibrant cinema. While primarily a casino, it provides a comprehensive experience, drawing both gamblers and those seeking a unique meal out, all within a highly regulated environment.
🎰 The Casino Experience
For enthusiasts of gaming, Casino Roxy is often lauded for its awesome environment and is considered one of the best casinos in Valladolid, Spain. A significant draw for many is the presence of low minimum bets, making it an approachable option for various levels of play. Visitors describe it as a "must visit place" for those looking to gamble. The casino is typically open during evening and night hours, from 18:00 (6 PM) to 04:00 (4 AM), providing ample time for an evening's entertainment.
🍽️ Dining at Casino Roxy
One of the most notable aspects of Casino Roxy is its restaurant, uniquely situated on the upper floor where the cinema screen once projected films. This setup creates a pleasant, spacious, and well-distributed dining area from which guests can even view the gaming floor below. The dining experience comes with a few specific points to note:
- Entry Requirements: Since the restaurant is accessed by passing through the casino, guests must register upon entry, and it's imperative to remember that minors are not permitted on the premises.
- Historical Ambiance: The entrance pays homage to its past, housing the camera that once projected films, a nice touch for those who appreciate history.
- Value & Quality: The restaurant's menu is concise but consistently highlighted for its excellent value. One recent review mentioned a €9 menu that offered "very good" food in more than sufficient quantity for dinner. An older review also noted a €15 menu as an "excellent deal," though the food's quality was rated as "OK" when compared to traditional Spanish tapas.
- Service: The staff at Casino Roxy's restaurant consistently receives praise for being professional and very friendly.
- Crowd: Depending on the day, particularly on weekdays like a Monday evening, the restaurant may be very quiet, with few diners present.
ℹ️ Essential Information for Visitors
Given its nature as a casino, there are strict entry protocols at Casino Roxy:
- Identification: All visitors must be ready to present passports or official identity cards for verification.
- Age Restriction: It is strictly an adult-only venue; no children or minors are allowed inside.
- Registration: Expect to go through a registration process, which includes signing papers, before gaining entry.
🌟 Overall Assessment
Casino Roxy in Valladolid provides a distinct experience, blending the thrill of gambling with a surprisingly value-driven dining option in a unique, historic setting. While the food quality in the restaurant might be subjective, its price point and the overall atmosphere make it appealing. Combined with a friendly and professional staff, and low minimum bets in the gaming area, it stands out as a notable destination for adults seeking entertainment and a meal in the city.
I’m giving this restaurant a 3 star because the 15 Euro menu is an excellent deal. Food wise, it was OK relatively speaking, being in Spain ! Only for food, it’s more of a 2.7 as you can probably do better with a good tapas restaurant/ bar. Be ready with passports or identity cards, no children and signing papers. Highly regulated, this is a casino. We came on a Monday. Nobody here except us at the restaurant for a 9 pm dinner on 19 of September !
Awesome Environment! Great place to gamble! The minimum bets are also low! One of the best casinos in Valladolid, Spain! Must Visit place! Has Bar! Restaurant! Timings! 18 to 04!
I knew this place when they were movie theaters. Now it was time to get to know it as almost nothing and as a restaurant. The entrance houses the Camera with which the films were projected, recalling its history. You pass through the Casino to go to the restaurant, so you have to register to enter, and minors cannot enter. The restaurant is located on the upper deck, where the screen used to be.It is a pleasant place, with a very large space, well distributed, being able to see the playing area from the restaurant. The menu is short, but with a price of €9, you can't ask for more. The food was very good and more than enough quantity for a dinner. The staff is professional and very friendly.
