Azalee in Malmö, Sweden, presents an interesting case, as its official classification as a casino appears to largely diverge from the experience described by its patrons. Based on multiple user reviews, Azalee is overwhelmingly perceived and enjoyed as a vibrant karaoke bar and social venue, rather than a traditional gambling establishment.
While the "casino" label might set certain expectations, visitors to Azalee primarily highlight its lively atmosphere centered around karaoke, good drinks, and friendly service. It's a place where entertainment and social interaction take center stage.
Azalee is ideal for those seeking a lively, unpretentious night out in Malmö. It's perfect for groups looking for fun, karaoke enthusiasts, and anyone who appreciates friendly service and reasonably priced drinks. If you're expecting a traditional casino experience, or a quiet, intimate bar, Azalee might not align with those expectations. Instead, come ready to sing, socialize, and enjoy a unique slice of Malmö's nightlife.
We had an event booked for the night and Theo and Alvin were great. Super accommodating and friendly.
Waitresses and drinks were great, there was though a little mini DickTator running the karaoke part. Not only was God at an obviously bad mood when he created his face but also when he created his personality. Seems like he's never controlled anything in his entire life so who gets to sing was his power in life. Not shockingly from people win mini DickTator syndrom. We, visiting from Dominican republic even though my wife was never allowed to sing had a great time and service Was great just not from wee man.
Best place in Malmö, especially if you fancy karaoke and reasonably priced drinks. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Moreover, there's a bunch of interesting characters showing up there weekly, who regularly participate in karaoke. It's great fun. ( Their vegan burger is pretty good too).
Insane to pay money for filthy people and bad singing and also way to big tables making it impossible to conversate!
A really cozy bar with friendly staff. Good drink list and beer selection. It was nice to hear random strangers butcher famous songs on the karaoke. But it could use more seats..
