Grand Casino Lucerne Guide and Review

The Grand Casino Lucerne, often described as a luxurious establishment, offers a unique blend of gaming excitement and an elegant ambiance. Located in Lucerne, Switzerland, it aims to provide a memorable experience, though prospective visitors should be aware of a few key details to ensure a smooth visit.
Ambiance and First Impressions ✨
Upon arrival, the casino presents itself with a certain grandeur. Many visitors appreciate the elegant decor and the overall atmosphere, especially first-timers who find the experience captivating. However, some reviews point out that while the building is old, it might not be in a "nice classical way" and could benefit from renovation to truly live up to its "grand" title.
The Gaming Experience 🎲
For those looking to gamble, the Grand Casino Lucerne provides a selection of games, though it's important to manage expectations, especially if you're accustomed to larger casinos in places like Vegas or Macau. It is generally considered a smaller casino.
Available games typically include:
- Slots
- Table Games:
- Blackjack: Usually around 3 tables.
- Ultimate Texas Hold'em (UTH): Often 2 tables, a favorite for some who enjoy this less common game.
- Roulette: Approximately 2 tables.
Minimum bets for table games, such as roulette, can start around 10-20 CHF, which some visitors find a bit high. There have been mentions of a lack of cash poker tables, despite being advertised, and a desire for more variety like Baccarat or 3-card poker from experienced players.
Staff and Service 🤵
Customer service experiences at Grand Casino Lucerne appear to be mixed. Many patrons report that the dealers and reception staff are professional and friendly. The bartenders, in particular, consistently receive positive feedback for their welcoming demeanor. However, some guests have encountered staff at the entrance or table managers who were perceived as "semi-friendly" or "smug" and "judgmental," leading to less positive interactions.

I’m from Hong Kong, and had been to numerous well established casinos in Asia especially in Macau as well as casinos in Vegas and LA.Despite I lost ard 1,000 CHF here, I still find this casino worth visiting! Expect this to be a small casino with slots and few table games with min bet of 10-20CHF. 3 black jack, 2 ultimate texas holdem and 2 roulettes tables - i only stayed at the UTH table, although it is a hard game to win, this is one of my fav games when i used to play in US. (no UTH in macau!)I saw there were some negative reviews here from tourists so i was slightly worried before going but i got to say: Staff at the reception and dealers are professional and friendly and visitors here are mostly very chill. Would be even better if there are more games such as baccarat and 3 card poker! I had a great time here and dont forget to bring your passport and get a casino voucher at your hotel for free entry if you are staying in Lucerne!
The building is old but not in a nice classical way, rather you can see and feel that it needs to be renovated. Also I didn't like the minimum bets for roulette. The staff was semi-friendly. At the entrance the staff was not my favorite, but the people who worked at the bar/restaurant were very welcoming.
Very unfriendly. Wasn’t allowed in to play slots cause I was wearing shorts in the summer. Would not support a place like this.
It wasn't Vegas but still did some gambling in Lucerne Switzerland, how cool is that? Everyone very nice and shout out to bar staff!
