Located in Schaffhausen, the Swiss Casino Zürich offers a gaming experience that garners mixed but generally positive feedback from visitors. While some perceive it as Zürich's primary casino, it provides a well-maintained environment with a dedicated staff, though certain policies may surprise international guests accustomed to different casino norms.
The casino generally impresses with its physical attributes and the demeanor of its team.
Many visitors describe the property as beautiful and decently sized. The staff is frequently praised for being nice and providing a welcoming atmosphere, greeting guests with a smile.
The casino is spread across two floors, with machine games predominantly on the first floor and live tables on the second. Gaming options include:
Several aspects of the casino's policy and service stand out as areas that might differ from expectations, particularly for seasoned casino-goers.
A recurring point of feedback is the casino's charging policy:
While a range of games is offered, some specific preferences might not be met, such as the absence of Texas Hold 'Em poker as noted by a reviewer.
Despite positive remarks about friendly greetings and good staff at the tables, some guests have expressed disappointment regarding the overall hospitality, especially concerning the paid beverage policy. This contrasts with expectations from casinos in other parts of the world where complimentary drinks are common.
In summary, Swiss Casino Zürich offers a clean, well-appointed gaming environment with classic table games and slots. However, visitors should be prepared for an entrance fee and the cost of all beverages, which deviates from the complimentary service often found in casinos elsewhere. It's a decent spot for a gaming evening, but manage expectations regarding additional costs and specific poker variants.
It’s a beautiful property, decently sized, nice table and good staff.Black Jack Tables, Roulette tables, Poker tables, 5 card poker and some machines were available.Paid entry and paid cold drink is something which is not expected in casinos.Rest all is good.
It's a quaint little casino with a smoking section of games completely separate from the main gaming floor. I was greeted with a smile and welcomed in. There's a 10€ entrance fee. I tried a few games and won a little.
I was extremely disappointed with the service at this casino. While they are more than happy to take what you’re willing to spend, their hospitality leaves much to be desired. Having visited numerous casinos across Asia and America, I’ve always experienced a higher standard of customer service—most establishments offer complimentary beverages to their patrons.During our visit, my colleague was feeling very thirsty, so before leaving, we stopped by the bar near the entrance/exit to ask for some tap water. To our surprise, the staff, who were already quite unfriendly, handed me a glass of tap water and requested a payment of 2 francs. I was shocked—charging for tap water after we had spent thousands at the casino seemed unreasonable. When I questioned it, the staff explained that due to the high number of people requesting tap water, the management had decided to charge for it.It’s not about the 2 francs—I could easily pay that. It’s about the principle. In most restaurants, where you might spend less than a hundred, you’re given complimentary water. Yet here, after spending a significant amount, they still insist on charging for something as basic as tap water. Disappointing service from a casino that profits immensely from its patrons. Cheap service for a supposed to be high standard.
Review Date: April 2025The only "real" casino in Zürich (the other has become a cultural centre since ages ago). Entrance fee is 10 CHF. On 1st floor, machine games are located. On 2nd floor, tables are placed. Texas Hold 'Em poker is not played there, unfortunately. EUR to CHF exchange rate there is 0.89.
Too little tables for Blackjack, messy management. Winnings got taken by other gamblers, high on alcohol. Entry fee is a big no-no. Not very friendly staff there. Will skip next time.
