Admiral Casino on St James Street in Brighton presents a rather mixed bag of experiences, according to recent visitor feedback. While some patrons have found it to be a relaxing and friendly establishment, others have reported significant issues, particularly regarding customer service and machine performance.
The casino appears to be a smaller venue compared to some other Admiral locations in the UK, and this size difference might contribute to the varied experiences. Reviews range from highly negative, detailing poor staff interactions, to very positive, praising the atmosphere and staff attentiveness.
Visitors generally appreciate the "nice selection of games from old to modern", offering a good range of bets and maximum payouts. This variety ensures there's something for different preferences within the casino.
The location is frequently described as "nice and clean", which contributes positively to the overall environment for patrons.
One review highlights the staff as "very friendly", offering good customer service and even food, suggesting that positive interactions are possible for some visitors.
While some recent reviews contradict this, one older comment refers to it as a "nice relaxing place", and one current review confirms it can be a "good place to relax."
Notably, the establishment also houses a "Kwik tan salon", which has received excellent feedback for being well-run, sanitised, and modern, offering both stand-up and lie-down options.
This is the most frequently cited concern. Multiple reviews describe staff as "non-attentive, not particularly welcoming," and showing "little to no interest into customers." There are serious allegations of "discriminating swearing comments about clients" and rude behaviour, including staff asking patrons to leave without clear justification.
Compared to other Admiral locations, some visitors reported a severe lack of hospitality, with one being offered only "1 drink and was never spoken to again," contrasting sharply with "endless streams of drinks and snacks" at other branches. This inconsistency is a major point of dissatisfaction.
A significant complaint involves machines not working correctly and "eating your money", with staff allegedly refusing to give refunds. This can lead to considerable frustration and a loss of trust.
While the game selection is good, one review noted that the games had "some of the worst payouts," with "big wins" amounting to only ÂŖ10-ÂŖ20 on a ÂŖ2 bet, suggesting that the return on investment may be low.
Prospective visitors should be aware of the highly variable customer service quality. While the venue itself appears clean and offers a good selection of games, the potential for negative staff interactions, issues with faulty machines, and a lack of hospitality are significant deterrents for some.
In conclusion, Admiral Casino: Brighton St James Street seems to offer a mixed experience. While its game variety and cleanliness are positive attributes, the recurring complaints about customer service and machine reliability suggest that potential visitors should manage their expectations regarding the level of service and personal experience.
One of the worst Admiral Casino's I've been to.Staff are non-attentive, not particularly welcoming and just seem to take little to no interest into customers. Compared to the 5 other admiral locations I've been to (Southhampton and Hastings to name the larger ones) the staff were horrendous and the games has some of the worst payouts I've seen.Compared to the others I was offered 1 drink and was never spoken to again, whereas I was offered and endless stream of drinks and snacks at the others. The games were never really paying out I understand that's the risk of casinos but when I won big it was only around ÂŖ10-ÂŖ20 on a ÂŖ2 bet.On the plus side nice selection of games from old to modern with a good range of bets and maz payouts. Nice and clean location aswell so bonus points for that.
Really bad costumer service, discriminating swearing coments about clients. If them mashine not working and eat your money they just not gonna give you back. Always was nice relaxing place but now. its really bad no one offers a drink in hours probably because im not english as they say that and swears.
Good place to relax and enjoy the customer service and the workers are very friendly and they even offer food
There is a Kwik tan salon in this establishment which is excellent and well run/covid sanitised. Stand up and lie down- all modern available. Definitely worth a visit.
I just asked by staff Sam to leave the casino with my friends, despite we spend money and we about to leave by ourself as we chat about the money we spend, however she so rude. al
