Grosvenor Casino Guide and Review

Grosvenor Casino in Coventry is widely regarded as a stunning and amazing venue, particularly since its refurbishment. Located conveniently within walking distance of the Highcross shopping centre and various bars and restaurants, it also boasts the significant advantage of free parking, making it an accessible choice for a night out in Coventry.
The Overall Experience
Many visitors describe their time at Grosvenor Casino as a "great night" or "great weekend." The atmosphere is generally lively, especially on weekends when it tends to be busier, with many customers enjoying the facilities. One particularly heartwarming account highlights the casino's benevolence, where a stranded traveller found a safe, warm, and comfortable environment to wait for their early morning bus, thanks to the welcoming reception and management.
Staff and Hospitality ✨
A recurring theme in positive reviews is the exceptional quality of the staff. Many patrons have noted staff members as "above reproach," "friendly, helpful, and courteous," and "awesome." Specific individuals like Tammy, Mylon, and Alex have been praised for their assistance, underscoring a strong commitment to customer service and hospitality. This dedication ensures that visitors feel well-cared for and safe, contributing significantly to a positive experience.
Facilities and Offerings
Grosvenor Casino caters to both serious gamblers and those looking for a social outing:
- Gambling Options: The casino offers a wide array of gaming choices, including "slots, roulette, black jack," with "around 16 live gamble games" on the upper floor, complemented by "just as many roulette machines" and an "electronics floor" at the entrance.
- Social Spaces: Beyond gambling, the venue features a great sports lounge and a "fantastic smokers terrace with machines," providing comfortable areas for relaxation.
- Food & Drink: A "food menu is also available," alongside a "large selection of drinks." Patrons also benefit from the convenience of "free coffee machine and drinks machine on both floors."
Areas for Improvement ⚠️
While the majority of feedback is overwhelmingly positive, some experiences suggest areas where the casino could enhance its service. One review highlighted issues with bar service, noting that staff ("valets") were difficult to locate and, when found, displayed a "bad mood and beyond rude" attitude. There were also concerns about drinks being "half poured" and feeling "ripped off," coupled with observations of the bar being "quite filthy, sticky but also had stains all over the place." Additionally, there was inconsistency regarding the availability of an "all night menu." Addressing these service and cleanliness issues, particularly during late hours when staff may be tired, could further elevate the overall customer experience.
Conclusion
Grosvenor Casino in Coventry stands out as a highly recommended venue for gambling and socialising, praised for its stunning appearance, excellent facilities, and generally outstanding staff hospitality. Its strategic location and free parking add to its appeal, making it a prime destination for entertainment in Coventry. While there are minor inconsistencies in service delivery that could be improved, the overall sentiment points towards a top-tier casino experience.
Grove Casino is a fantastic place, even for someone who doesn’t gamble. It has a great vibe and is welcoming to both men and women. The atmosphere is lively and friendly, and it’s an ideal spot to enjoy drinks and watch sports with plenty of TVs showing all kinds of games. If you’re not a member, like we weren’t, it’s really simple to join. You just show your ID at reception, and they give you a free membership card on the spot. The whole process took less than a minute, and once you’re signed up, your details are stored in their system.Since the renovation, the venue looks amazing and feels like a great addition to the area. Whether you're into gambling or just want a night out, it's got something for everyone. For those who do gamble, there are lots of tables, and for those who don’t, it’s still a fun and relaxed environment where no one hassles you.The drinks selection is strong, with cocktails priced at a very reasonable £8 and made really well. They even offer complimentary soft drinks and hot beverages, which is a nice touch. The food options are solid too.A special shout-out to the clean, individual toilets, especially appreciated by the ladies as it adds an extra level of comfort. Overall, it’s a top place with a vibrant atmosphere, friendly staff, and great value. Highly recommend it whether you're there to play, chill, or cheer on your team.

I was stranded in Leicester due to my trip cancellation by my coach bringing me from London,I needed a place to seat at 2am midnight till 8am when the next bus arrives, it was cold out there and the coach station was shut. I walked to this Beautiful Hotel, the reception was nice and the manager welcomed me and offered me seat and warm environment to stay till my bus arrives at morning time . I feel safe and comfortable. Thanks for your hospitality and benevolence. Grosvenor casino is a great place to be.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Great place for drinks, slots, roulette, black jack. Weekends are busier. Food menu is also available. Location is excellent walking distance to Highcross shopping centre and bars and restaurants too.
Went for some drinks after work and none of the valets were by the bar when we wanted to order more drinks nor where they on the floor, they gave us such attitude, working in hospitality myself I understand being overworked but every single valet was in a bad mood and beyond rude. Was previously told they had an all night menu but was told simply “no” by one valet. At 4am I assume they was tired but it isn’t an excuse to be rude. Drinks were also half poured not full so felt like I was getting ripped off. The bar was also quite filthy, it was sticky but also had stains all over the place.
