Resorts World Birmingham Guide and Review

Resorts World Birmingham, located in Coventry, United Kingdom, stands as a prominent destination offering a multi-faceted experience. While its primary classification is a casino, it has evolved into a comprehensive leisure complex featuring a variety of retail, dining, and entertainment options. User reviews paint a picture of a spacious yet evolving destination, particularly appreciated for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse offerings.
Shopping & Retail đ
The retail landscape at Resorts World receives mixed feedback. Described as a "spacious shopping mall," many appreciate the presence of outlet stores, with one visitor noting "loads of bargains to be had." However, recent reviews indicate a decline in the number of shops compared to previous years. Visitors mention a "small selection of shops," including popular brands like Lindt, The Works, WHSmith, Fragrance Shop, Gift Company, Beauty Outlet, Claires, and a Nike store. While some find the current selection sufficient, others feel it "used to be so much better" and now lacks variety for extensive shopping.
Dining & Entertainment Galore đŊī¸đŗđŦ
Resorts World truly shines in its dining and entertainment offerings, presenting a broad spectrum of choices for all ages and tastes. Users consistently highlight the "plenty of places to eat," with a wide array of restaurants such as Kareega, Five Guys, Vietnamese Street Kitchen, Iguana, Sky Restaurant and Bar, Zizzis, Nandos, Pizza Express, and Gourmet Burger Kitchen.
Beyond culinary delights, the complex boasts a "good entertainment area" featuring:
- Hollywood Bowl for bowling enthusiasts đŗ
- Vortex Gaming for interactive gaming experiences đŽ
- Cineworld, a modern cinema complex đŋ
The Sky Bar is a particular highlight, praised for its "reasonable prices and good views," offering a relaxing spot to unwind with a drink.
Atmosphere & Amenities â¨đ ŋī¸
The ambiance at Resorts World is often commended, especially during specific seasons. One review enthusiastically describes a Christmas visit, highlighting the "festive and cheerful atmosphere," "stunning" decorations, "twinkling lights, seasonal displays and a large Christmas tree." The presence of performers dressed as Christmas trees added a "playful touch," enhancing the holiday spirit.
Cleanliness is another strong point, with the entire facility noted as "super clean." Parking facilities are generally considered good and spacious, though pricing is a recurring point of discussion. While available, parking is described as "expensive," although an offer of ÂŖ3 for a whole day of parking is available for those spending ÂŖ20 or more within the complex. Some users suggest waiving this fee would make the venue even more attractive.
The Casino Experience đ˛
As a primarily casino-based establishment, Resorts World Birmingham integrates its gaming floor seamlessly within the larger entertainment complex. While specific details about the casino itself were not extensively highlighted in the provided user feedback, its presence underpins the "Resorts" aspect of the venue, offering traditional casino gaming alongside the retail, dining, and leisure attractions.
Conclusion â â
Resorts World Birmingham offers a compelling proposition for visitors seeking a diverse leisure experience. It excels as an entertainment hub with a vast array of dining options and popular attractions like the cinema and bowling alley. Its festive atmosphere during holidays and overall cleanliness are significant positives.
However, the general consensus among recent reviews suggests that the shopping experience has diminished, with fewer retail outlets than in the past. While parking is convenient, its cost is a minor detractor for some. Despite these points, many visitors, including first-timers, find the complex to be a worthwhile destination, offering something for everyone in a well-maintained environment.
Visit Resorts World in Christmas time, this shopping centre offers a festive and cheerful atmosphere, perfect for the holiday season. The Christmas decorations are stunning, with twinkling lights, seasonal displays and a large Christmas tree, creating a warm, inviting vibe. Seeing performers dressed as Christmas trees walking around adds a playful touch that delights shoppers of all ages. A great place to shop and enjoy the festive spirit!
Me and my family came here for the day and it was okay. It wasn't amazing but is decent and has some good shops. It used to be so much better but now they don't have many shops. They have some shops like lindt, the works, whsmith, frangrance shop, gift company, beauty outlet, claires, Hollywood bowl, vortex gaming, nike store, cineworld which is a cinema and many restaurants like kareega, five guys, vietnamese street kitchen, iguana, sky restaurant and bar, zizzis, nandos, pizza express, gourmet burger kitchen. It is good for price and there's great parking but is expensive.
A spacious shopping mall but less shops for shopping. This visit is my second time and my last time was 4 years ago. Spend ÂŖ20 or above can get the offer of parking at ÂŖ3 for whole day. Although it's not expensive, I think it should be waived will become more attractive.
