However, Treasure Island's reputation isn't universally positive. A significant number of reviews highlight problematic aspects, primarily concerning staff behavior and a perceived lack of customer service:
Treasure Island in Glasgow appears to be a place of stark contrasts. For those who have positive encounters, it offers a unique blend of gaming, nostalgia, and genuine hospitality, complete with thoughtful complimentary gestures. Yet, a significant portion of visitors report unwelcoming staff and baffling entry/ejection policies, overshadowing any potential enjoyment. Prospective visitors should be aware of these conflicting experiences and approach with an open mind, as a visit to Treasure Island could be either a hidden gem or a disappointing encounter.
Had a really nice experience when visiting this arcade lovely staff and a great selection of old school machines highly recommend !!
Surprised they are still operating.Had a glass of wine at the arcade, then decided to try this place to kill time. Were asked at entering if we had been drinking and then told to leave. I understand right to refuse service, but those waitresses would do anything to not have customers in. Amusing to say the least. Sorry for the owner. Looks like a morgue inside. Save your money and go somewhere else
I Love this place, situated right in the heart of Glasgow it feels like a little slice of nostalgia mixed with the modern thrill of Vegas. With the jackpot slot machines (which there are hundreds) to the bustling cash and prize Bingo there are loads of folk having a great time. The staff are excellent, I think itโs still a family run business which gives it a very homely feel to it. Not to mention the complimentary drinks, snacks and cakes I was offered.... AmazingIโll be back and Iโll be taking my maw ๐๐
1 star is too high, rude and disrespectful staff. If you manage to even play a machine before being kicked out for literally no reason, then you got further than most people I know! How it's still open baffles me. Maybe a laundering scheme?
