Located in the vibrant city of Liverpool, United Kingdom, Great Northern is identified as a primary type of place: a casino. However, a review of user feedback suggests a more diverse and at times, conflicting, range of experiences, indicating that "Great Northern" might refer to a larger complex housing multiple businesses, rather than solely a dedicated gaming establishment.
The feedback from recent visitors presents a highly mixed bag, indicating that "Great Northern" might encompass several distinct businesses or that experiences vary wildly depending on which part of the venue is visited.
Based on the collective user feedback, Great Northern in Liverpool appears to be a multifaceted site offering various activities, from potential gaming (implied by "late night games") and axe throwing to even a cinema and other retail experiences. While it seems to boast a great location and interesting architecture, the consistency of quality, maintenance, and overall visitor experience appears to vary significantly across its different components.
Prospective visitors primarily interested in the "casino" aspect should be aware that the available reviews cover a much broader range of activities and experiences, some of which are quite negative concerning facility upkeep. It's advisable to specify which part of Great Northern you intend to visit and perhaps seek more targeted, up-to-date reviews if available for that specific establishment. For those looking for a general entertainment hub, be prepared for a potentially mixed experience, where some areas are well-regarded for staff and activities, while others may suffer from a lack of maintenance or basic amenities.
The most run down cinema I’ve been in. All seats have stains. Missing head rests. Popcorn all over the floor. Definitely need a shower after going here.
Through the years, this place hasn't quite been the success that it could have been; great location, nice space and architecture but not enough footfall to gain traction business wise. Which is a shame because there are some lovely places to go to here!Fortunately (we hope), plans are in to turn this site into a new commercial and residential area whilst keeping the historic facade.Until then, this place still offers an interesting time to explore. Decent photo opportunities and also do visit the local shops especially along the Mews.
Great staff that guides and instructs you with the axe throwing.Lackluster selection of drinks. The space has little heating so it's just a tiny bit warmer than outside. The toilet is in another building.
Beautiful grounds and historic main Georgian mansion, comfortable rooms, and delicious food served in a magnificent dining room. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.
