Nestled in the vibrant city of Liverpool, Manchester235 operates as a prominent casino, offering a range of gaming experiences for both seasoned gamblers and curious newcomers. Based on recent visitor feedback, it presents a mixed bag of excellent service and atmosphere, alongside some notable areas for improvement.
For those seeking a relaxed and amiable environment for gambling, Manchester235 often hits the mark. Visitors frequently describe it as a "quiet, friendly place" to enjoy the thrill of winning or losing. The casino boasts "plenty of tables and electronic gambling," ensuring a variety of options for different preferences.
One first-time casino goer highlighted their experience at the blackjack tables, noting the dealer was "brilliant" and ensured their visit was welcomed and thoroughly enjoyable, despite not winning. This suggests a strong focus on making even new patrons feel comfortable and engaged in the games.
A recurring theme in positive reviews is the commendation of the staff. From reception to the bar and gaming tables, employees are consistently described as "friendly" and providing "exceptional service." This contributes significantly to the overall positive atmosphere and welcoming feel of the establishment.
When it comes to refreshments, Manchester235 offers "free self-serve drinks" and "reasonably-priced drinks" from the bar, which is a definite plus for visitors looking to stay hydrated and refreshed without breaking the bank.
However, the food service receives a less enthusiastic reception. One detailed review points out being "regularly overcharged for food" and a noticeable decline in quality, stating the food "used to be very nice, but recently is quite poor." A specific warning was given to "definitely avoid the pizza!"
The casino also features a points program, which is described as "decent," but its usability is hampered by a "somewhat confusing" and "fairly broken" app and website. Other practical concerns raised include "worn" gaming chips, with one instance causing a finger cut, and an ATM that charges £1.85 per transaction.
While many aspects of Manchester235 receive praise, some significant issues have been reported. A serious complaint detailed an incident in the poker room involving suspected collusion between players. The review describes a highly negative experience when attempting to report this, including feeling "slandered as a racist" and "gaslighted" by a staff member who allegedly defended the suspicious play. This raises serious questions about dispute resolution and customer support in sensitive situations.
Furthermore, visitors should be aware of challenges with the surrounding parking. The NCP car park is described as "predatory," with instances of patrons receiving PCNs (Penalty Charge Notices) even after paying, requiring appeals and significant time investment.
Manchester235 in Liverpool appears to be a casino with strong points, particularly its friendly atmosphere, dedicated staff, and variety of gaming options. It provides a quiet and welcoming space for those looking to enjoy casino games. However, prospective visitors should be mindful of the reported inconsistencies with food quality, issues with their loyalty program's digital platforms, and practicalities like ATM charges and problematic car parking. The serious incident reported in the poker room also highlights potential areas for improvement in handling customer complaints and ensuring fair play. Ultimately, for many, it's a worthwhile visit, but some aspects carry a degree of risk, making it, as one reviewer put it, "a gamble this casino. Lots to like, but also room to improve."
I visited a couple times, winning and losing. But if you are looking for a quiet, friendly place to do some gambling, this is where you go
Some dealers are professional, but I feel sorry for a few who act really badly. It’s sad behaviour, but at the end of the day, I’m winning with my knowledge. Who cares what a few dealers think? If I were Elvis Presley, it would be a different matter – keeping an eye on good vibes and people having a good time at the casino.
First time at a formal casino. The blackjack dealer with the do-rag was brilliant - he ensured my first visit was welcomed, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the table whilst he was dealing. Although I didn't win, I had the most amazing time! Friendly staff, reasonably-priced drinks and exceptional service. I Definitively will be visiting again.
Great casino. Friendly staff on reception and in the bar. Plenty of tables and electronic gambling.
Nice atmosphere, comfy chairs, staff are friendly, free self serve drinks. They have interesting events on throughout the year. Decent points program, albeit somewhat confusing as the app and website are both fairly broken. However, have been regularly overcharged for food (over £40 total so far) and the food used to be very nice, but recently is quite poor. Definitely avoid the pizza! Sometimes they treat others differently under the same circumstances. Many of the £5 chips are now very worn, of which one had the sticker peeled up and when I handled it, it cut my finger. ATM charges £1.85 a time, which kinda sucks. And although not directly Mancheser235's fault, the NCP car park is predatory. Several times when I paid, they sent a PCN anyway and I had to waste a chunk of time appealing them. It's a gamble this casino. Lots to like, but also room to improve.
