Grosvenor Casino, The Victoria, located in London, United Kingdom, consistently earns high praise from visitors for its welcoming atmosphere and exceptional staff, though some critical feedback points to areas needing significant operational improvements, particularly within its poker room and facilities.
The overwhelming sentiment among satisfied patrons revolves around the excellent customer service and the vibrant atmosphere of the venue.
Numerous reviews specifically commend individual staff members for their professionalism, helpfulness, and positive attitudes. Guests frequently highlight how these interactions enhance their overall experience:
This consistent recognition suggests a strong focus on customer care among the team.
Visitors describe the casino as "welcoming" and having a "great atmosphere" and "good vibes," making it an enjoyable place for both locals and tourists on holiday. The venue itself is also commended for its cleanliness, contributing to a pleasant environment.
While many experiences are positive, a significant 2-star review sheds light on critical operational shortcomings, particularly concerning the poker room and general amenities.
One detailed review points out several frustrations within the poker room, especially on busy nights:
A major point of concern is the state and capacity of the men's restrooms. For a venue of its size and footfall, the casino has:
This suggests a lack of attention to basic comfort and hygiene for guests.
The critical review suggests that, contrary to expectations, amenities and customer service standards at this London location might be lower than in regional Grosvenor casinos, possibly because the high footfall in the capital reduces the perceived need to invest in these areas.
One review offers a less conventional perspective, with abstract language that does not directly contribute to a clear assessment of the casino's services or facilities. This feedback stands apart from the typical user experiences.
Grosvenor Casino, The Victoria, offers a lively casino experience in London, largely driven by its friendly and professional staff who are frequently praised for their personal touch. The general atmosphere is welcoming, making it a good choice for those seeking a fun night out.
However, potential visitors, especially poker enthusiasts, should be aware of reported operational inefficiencies and potentially subpar restroom facilities. The casino appears to excel in its front-line customer interactions but has clear opportunities to improve its capacity management and fundamental amenities to match the expectations for a premier London venue.
For those prioritizing staff interaction and a lively environment over flawless operational efficiency and amenities, "The Vic" could be a very enjoyable destination. For others, particularly those expecting seamless poker play or pristine facilities, some aspects might fall short of expectations.
Louis is absolutely outstanding and makes my night every time I come. I feel super welcomed and am on holiday! Definitely recommend for the vibes! Also I can’t forget about Tina and how great she has been! Thank you!!!
I visited Grosvenor Casino in London during my holiday last week and was extremely satisfied with the whole experience. The venue was clean, welcoming, and had a great atmosphere. I would especially like to highlight the excellent service I received from one of the staff members, Ioannis. He was polite, helpful, and very professional. He made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived and assisted me with everything I needed , always with a smile and a positive attitude. I highly recommend this casino!
My picture shows the waiting list on a Saturday night, despite enough people waiting to open up two more tables and plenty of free tables, they refused to open any tables (must not have enough dealer staff) Makes no sense whatsoever for a room of this size. They say they have speaker system to call your name but they don’t, I didn’t hear once a name being called and I was only in the bar area right next to poker room, so you have to keep walking back to check the screen. Also the toilets are a joke, despite so many men in this place all the time there is only one men’s bathroom which has only two toilets inside, they are dirty and they don’t flush properly (like 500ml of water with no force at all) Grosvenor in Huddersfield has way less people in yet it has 6 toilets in men’s room, they are always clean, flush well, and is much nicer and bigger bathroom with the really fast hand dryers. You’d think things would be nicer in London but actually the opposite is true, they don’t have to bother with customer service and nice amenities in London because they gonna get the footfall anyhow. Ultimately I found this a hectic, amateur hour poker room, vegas has similar or bigger size rooms that are run so much calmer and nicer. I give 2 star only because the valet parking underground was good, but everything else bad! UPDATE: I returned as I was in London on Boxing Day, and it was exactly the same.
Hi vic,I love coming here to play and not long ago I put my view in on my favourite dealer, who I think really deserves recognition on his work effort. I now want to say that the waitress Madison who I see from time to time really stands out . She moves fast , is polite , is very professional.. her customer relation skills are also to a high standard. A good member of staff all round.Thank you
