Napoleons Casino & Restaurant, nestled in the vibrant Chinatown area of Manchester, aims to offer a comprehensive entertainment experience combining gaming with fine dining. While it boasts several commendable features, potential visitors should be aware of significant inconsistencies, particularly concerning entry and door staff conduct.
One of the standout features of Napoleons, according to user feedback, is its restaurant. The food receives consistent praise, with one reviewer enthusiastically calling it "amazing." Patrons have reported enjoying "lovely meals," suggesting the culinary offerings are a definite draw. Beyond the entrance, the internal staff are generally described as "lovely" and "friendly," contributing positively to the overall "atmosphere" within the establishment. This indicates that once inside, guests are likely to find a welcoming and enjoyable environment, with some even having successful gaming nights, including winning "ÂŖ100."
As a primary casino venue, Napoleons is generally considered "decent enough" for a visit. The general consensus from some reviews is that membership is not strictly required for entry; instead, "just some photo id is required so nice and easy" for non-members. This relatively straightforward entry process is a convenience for many. Its location in the lively Chinatown district also makes it a convenient spot for those in the area. However, this perceived ease of access is starkly contrasted by numerous negative experiences at the door.
A recurring and problematic theme across several reviews involves the doorman and the entry protocol. This appears to be the most critical area for improvement for Napoleons:
These incidents suggest a significant issue with customer service and policy enforcement at the door, overshadowing otherwise positive experiences within the casino and restaurant.
Napoleons Casino & Restaurant offers a promising package with its highly-rated food, pleasant internal staff, and a serviceable casino floor. It could be an ideal spot for a night out in Manchester's Chinatown. However, the documented issues with the doorman's conduct and the inconsistent application of entry rules are considerable drawbacks that could deter potential patrons and significantly impact their initial impression and overall experience. If you can navigate the entry without issue, you might find a delightful evening awaiting you, but it appears that getting past the front door can, at times, be a gamble before you even reach the gaming tables.
This looked like an ideal place for a meal out and a few games. However, this doorman ruined my night by not allowing me to enter the premises as a member and was rude and discriminated me for being white.
Decent enough casino which is worth a visit if in China Town. Don't need to be a member to get in as just some photo id is required so nice and easy.
Visited with my boyfriend last night staff was lovely however found the door man to be very homophic on entry saying this venue is a "members only club" however I am already a member, then asking if my BF is a member I said no but I can sign him in. He said that's "not how it works" I said what do you mean he said he needs ID I told him he has ID then he let us in apart from that had a lovely meal and won ÂŖ100
The food is amazing and the service is great! Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendly staff!! Highly recommend!
Bummer. Got turned around at the door since we were coming from the City game and I had their beanie on. I guess the bouncer was an united fan.
