A notable number of recent reviews highlight significant issues, primarily centered around staff professionalism and concerns about game fairness:
This is a recurring and concerning theme in multiple reviews. Specifically, a cashier named Ashley was repeatedly mentioned for poor conduct:
Beyond customer service, there are serious allegations and observations regarding the actual gaming experience:
Bally's Casino Newcastle appears to offer a potentially enjoyable gaming environment, evidenced by positive feedback on certain staff members and the general ambiance. However, the presence of multiple, consistent complaints regarding specific staff members' rudeness and, more critically, serious accusations about game fairness and dealer competence, significantly detracts from the overall experience.
Prospective visitors should be aware of these mixed experiences. While some may find an enjoyable time, others have encountered significant issues with customer service and the integrity of the games. For Bally's Casino, addressing the consistent staff behavior complaints and investigating the allegations of game unfairness are crucial steps to improve its reputation and ensure a truly positive and trustworthy experience for all patrons.
The place itself is good and service is fantastic. But when you play on the table games (blackjack and roulette etc) you need to watch the dealers. I've just been in tonight and the dealer cannot count correctly on blackjack. He bust me multiple times when I wasn't even bust. And for somebody that isn't watching the game it's taking advantage and disgusting. Please teach your staff to count and not to rob people that are trying to have fun
I’m writing to express my disappointment following a negative experience I had during my recent visit to your newly named casino. I interacted with a cashier named Ashley, whose behaviour made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. From the moment I approached the counter, Ashley had an unpleasant attitude. I remained respectful throughout the interaction and even attempted to lighten the mood with some light-hearted conversation, but he was dismissive and unnecessarily rude. His tone was stern and overly authoritative, completely lacking any sense of customer service or hospitality. The overall vibe he gave off was unwelcoming and quite frankly, off-putting. It significantly impacted my experience and has made me reconsider returning to Bally’s in the future. I’ve visited many casinos before, and this level of unprofessionalism was truly disappointing.I hope this issue is taken seriously and addressed appropriately to ensure other guests don’t have to go through a similar experience. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect, especially in a customer-facing environment.
It was my first time visiting a casino, and Ashley the cashier made me feel very uncomfortable. He had an attitude, he was rude, he made me feel inferior, and I will not be returning. It takes nothing to be polite and I felt I was just an inconvenience to him by being there. Aside from this, when visiting the cashier desk he nodded me over, didn’t greet me or say it was my turn, and after the encounter finished, he didn’t say bye or say everything was sorted. He just stared down at his desk, I had to ask “did that go through okay” and again, didn’t look up or speak, just nodded me off.
Jay was a fantastic host and made the poker table a lot less intimidating for a group of girls and Matthew was also a credit to the bar staff. Top guys and lovely Casino!
Not fixed? £320 spin followed by a £800 spin to chase the £320 numbers were 0 then 00 nothing on them, tables definitely have pressure pads on the gaming commission definitely need to look into it, it’s not the first time, absolutely take advantage of people that’s had a drink, pure scum the quicker the government close these establishments the better.
