This is a place I have held a n Elite Card for 15 years and recently a Chairman’s Card This place unfortunately doesn’t recognize the importance of loyalty and decides to punish you for your loyalty. I recently stoped coming here after years because this casino thinks free play is match play. If you don’t match with your own money what they are giving you in free play your pin is blocked so you are no longer able to use any offers that were given to you. When I recently got a comp room I asked if I could get one of the newly remodeled rooms. The receptionist said yes they are available but you need to pay an extra $40 a night for your comp room. Instead I ended up in a “non-smoking” room that smelled like an old bar. I requested a spray with an air freshener. It took four requests before someone came up then that spray lasted for about 4 hours before the room smelled like an ashtray again. If you want my business back number 1 please stop blocking my pen. Number 2 if you have nice rooms available to comp me give me them. Try a little to impress me , to take care of me after being an elite card member recently for 16 years. Sorry, unless you change, our divorce is imminent if you had noticed we were seriously separated till you gave me some nice offers then you started with your bad behavior again for example blocking my pin and giving me crappy comp rooms that smell like an ashtray
This is my second stay in the last six months at the Golden Nugget and it is becoming my preferred hotel when staying in Atlantic City. I enjoy that the hotel is on the marina side and I feel that it is less busy and more laid back for travelling into the area. There are options for valet if you want to avoid a longer walk to the service desks after parking. The hotel is laid out nice and there are some dining options. I haven't ventured too far into the casino because my last two stays were for boxing events. But when I sit in the casino with my uncle it is always laid back. The restaurant staff is polite and accommodating. The service desk personnel are equally friendly. The hotel rooms are clean and nice, and the views are great. On this stay I got three rooms for family and one we got views from both sides and everyone enjoyed their rooms and views. I'm looking forward to returning in the warmer months with more time so I can enjoy the pools and hottubs and the live music. I will continue to support the Golden Nugget when in the area.
Nice, clean room. Bed is a little worn and the decor is a little dated, but overall my wife and I really loved our stay. The casino are was nice, lots of video slots. Parking is free which was nice, most places charge to park. I would definitely stay here again.
We booked the suite - Marina View. The lobby is a visual feast - if you like red (I don't mind red). The check in was slower than we would have liked. Our room appeared under used so everything was dusty - the room phone, thermostat and some parts of the bathroom. We requested that room service come and tidy up which they did. We initially requested to change rooms. But, we were told there were no rooms left. The physical room is really nice however, it is almost impossible to get anyone from housekeeping or guest services on the room. We had to call from our personal cell phones. But, outside of the hotel itself the restaurant service was nice. We ate at the steakhouse and the Asian restaurant and were happy. We will visit again but I will not bring my children- too much cigarette smoke in the lobby. Also, the outside windows were dirty. Could not have a clear view of the marina which was sad. Please hire someone to clean the outside
The rooms are dated but clean .I got in late on a Thursday after check in I was planning on a fine meal well all the restaurant including a simple breakfast,lunch ,dinner . A diner atmosphere should've been open all nite . It was 10:00 pm there was nowhere to eat in the entire casino Including room service. I am a table game player ,Well the dealers need to be educated in customer service.No personality even if you tip it's like it was expected and no appreciation. It's a shame too me this location is a gem .. beautiful outside pool over looking the inlet and a beautiful Marina outside bar and live music on the weekends.I am a retired business owner, I would be Happy to come in a couple of days a week and reset everyone's demeanor!! No one seem to like their job just going through the motions ....I guess you get what you pay for and guess they don't make much ?I love the Golden Nugget for years ,But the staff ,not everyone but most just a depressing attitude especially the dealers ...Maybe time for new owners or a new GM ..and you need to be able to get a decent meal after 10:00 pm.
